January 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm Widr. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made to Glastonbury, Connecticut, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Widr (talk) 22:07, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

You should also add reliable sources for your changes. Unless I missed something, I didn't see any. Widr (talk) 22:33, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

March 2014[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Yorkville, Manhattan has been reverted.
Your edit here to Yorkville, Manhattan was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://lostnewyorkcity.blogspot.com/2009/04/lost-citys-guide-to-yorkville.html/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 03:43, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, please ignore this notice.

Merging articles[edit]

If you want to propose an article be merged into another article, or another article be merged into that one, place ({merge}}, {{merge from}}, or {{merge into}} onto the article; with the other article involved after a line. For example, the one I used was {{merge from|Black Pioneers}}. You should explain why you want that article merged into Black Company of Pioneers on the Black Company of Pioneers' talk page. Ann Arbor[edit]

Major additions to a featured article such as Ann Arbor should be discussed on the article talk page. Articles that have reached the top status in Wikipedia's rating system should really not be the site of WP:BOLD changes. The info is probably good information, but how it should be presented should be discussed. That is my only problem. Please start a discussion on the article talk page. Sourcing should probably be discussed. Just because a neighborhood association exists with a certain name doesn't mean that is the historically preferred name for a neighborhood. The comments on Glacier Way seemed especially iffy. Like I said, please start a discussion on the article talk page. John from Idegon (talk) 23:00, 3 April 2014 (UTC) Great advice. I will start a discussion.

Your recent edits[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (Insert-signature.png or Button sig.png) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:25, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
