Edit to Gregorian calendar[edit]

Can you please supply the source of your information for your recent edit to the Gregorian calendar article? --Jc3s5h (talk) 15:07, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Gregorian calendar. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. --Jc3s5h (talk) 22:55, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I now see that you were trying to fix the article, because some text in the source was not appearing in the article as displayed. The software was working as designed. The problem was that the <ref name=MS> element was specified in two places. The software worked as designed and only displayed the first one. The problem was that you were backing up to a bad version of the article, in that the bad version had complicated material in it with no indication of what reliable publication the material was derived from.

It is essential when there is a complex problem with an article to use the article's talk page, which is accessed by using the "discussion" tab while viewing the article. Repeatedly making unsuccessful changes to articles with cryptic edit summaries will eventually get you blocked, even if your intentions were good. --Jc3s5h (talk) 23:39, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edit to Julian calendar[edit]

Please explain this edit at the article's talk page, Talk:Julian calendar#Citation format --Jc3s5h (talk) 01:31, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Julian calendar. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Jc3s5h (talk) 21:23, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Calendar edit warring. Jc3s5h (talk) 16:23, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
