Some stroopwafels for you![edit]

Gaufre biscuit.jpg You deserve them. Great improvements to Wikipedia! ASCIIn2Bme (talk) 13:15, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

By the way[edit]

You forgot to document the much more used template {{BCD}}. Are planning to do that, or should I take a stab at it? ASCIIn2Bme (talk) 16:40, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

I'm thinking that the template might do better at Template:DELTA, and become a redirect to Template:DELTA, then the documentation would need to exist on the talk page instead. (The symbol Δ has other uses, so a redirect from template:BCD to Template:DELTA seems to make more sense) 65.94.77.11 (talk) 05:45, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Black Mamba[edit]

You're opposing a request to change the name of an article, but you aren't even a member of Wikipedia? I don't even think your "opposition" to the request even counts. Bastian (talk) 17:52, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Yay for WP:BITE. And 65 has probably been editing Wikipedia for longer than you have. ASCIIn2Bme (talk) 19:10, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

I apologized already and I'll do it here again. I'm sorry I know that was out of line. Hope no hard feelings. Bastian (talk) 21:27, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

It appears a lot of people already corrected Bastian on Talk:Black mamba; and as Bastian is a new user... So I'll just suggest that he read WP:CIVIL, and keep in mind WP:IP!=VANDAL . My argument against the move was based on Wikipedia policies and guidelines, regardless of what anyone thinks about the value of IP users policies and guidelines are supposed to be based on community approved standards, so needs to be refuted on misapplication of policy/guideline, not anything about what a user is. 65.94.77.11 (talk) 04:38, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Heads-up[edit]

Regarding [1]. Please note that the "nowiki" tag does not disable HTML entity translation (to Unicode), because that's done in the web browser, not in the Wikipedia servers. You need to write "Δ" (as it appears on the rendered talk page here) to disable that. "&" produces "&" visually, but it's no longer an active escape character, so what comes after "&" is no longer translated. ASCIIn2Bme (talk) 11:34, 3 November 2011 (UTC)

Crap, forgot about that. Thanks. 65.94.77.11 (talk) 12:23, 3 November 2011 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation[edit]

Citaton-needed-vertical.svg

I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/District 5. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>

== References ==

{{reflist}}

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question or get into our live help chat chanel at #wikipedia-en-help connect.

Best, ChzzBot IV (talk) 04:25, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

Disambiguation pages do not have references! Please read WP:DAB#References where this is explicitly stated! 65.94.77.11 (talk) 04:26, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation pages are a bit of an edge case for the bots, but some sort of check should probably be added to avoid this. Your submission has been approved and moved to article space at District 5, sorry for the lack of a fancy AfC approved template, but the Salting of the title interfered with the notification tool, as I had to get an admin to make the move. Anyway, thanks for the extensive disambiguation page. Monty845 05:09, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. 65.94.77.11 (talk) 06:23, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

I'm sorry. The bot is supposed to identify 'disambiguation' submissions, and skip them. Clearly, in this case, it went wrong. I am working to fix the error. Of course, you are right; they do not need references. Apologies,  Chzz  ►  13:08, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
