Synthesizing to decide who's anti-communist[edit]

For each person whom you categorize as "anti-communist", a reliable source documenting that allegation is needed. Otherwise you are impermissably engaging in synthesis: combining "facts" to draw the conclusion that someone is "anti-communist". This is not allowed on Wikipedia, and you may expect that every edit you have made to label these people as "anti-communist" will be undone. This is especially so when you use rationales to label people like this one: "Dietrich Eckart (Added category German anti-communists as he wrote Bolshevism from Moses to Lenin. As he was anti-semitic, this indicates opposition to Bolshevism (Communism))". No, being "anti-semitic" doesn't make anyone "anti-communist" because "Jewish" and "communist" are not and have never been synonyms. Nor is this the only edit summary of this kind you have recently made. Please desist and revert. FactStraight (talk) 05:55, 11 December 2013 (UTC)

Activist categories[edit]

Hey there - I see you've added "pro-life activists" to a number of politician pages. However, that's not what the category is designed for - it's meant to be for people whose primary notability is as activists or whose profession is activism, not politicians who hold a given position. While I do think that many of these politicians have done more to oppose abortion rights than some of the local and small-scale activists who belong in the category, it would ultimately be incredibly messy to categorize politicians by every political position they hold. –Roscelese (talkcontribs) 18:44, 5 February 2014 (UTC)

February 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to George B. Hitchcock may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
