October 2013[edit]

Section titles[edit]

Hi. FYI, Wikistyle is that only the first letter of a section title, plus any proper nouns, are capitalized. Thus it's "Georgraphy and climate" not "Geography and Climate". Thanks. Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:24, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

Subjective Sentences[edit]

Hello, I have noticed that on Huey Long's article, you have added this sentences: "For decades after his death, Long was fondly remembered by many (if not all) Louisianans for improving their lives." I would like to inform you that I have reverted that edit as I felt that it was unencyclopedic. Please avoid subjective phrases like "fondly". The sentence you have made is also unsuitable in general as rememberance cannot be quantified and is not in an encyclopedic context. Please take a look at our manual of style for more information. Thanks! Have a nice day! Darylgolden (talk) 11:48, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

The sentence is both true and encyclopedic, the problem is that it was not backed up with a citation from a reliable source, which sould be easy to find. Beyond My Ken (talk) 09:05, 2 November 2013 (UTC)

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Huey Long. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 21:29, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

Information icon Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Say Anything.... Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. The Old JacobiteThe '45 16:28, 19 November 2013 (UTC)

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Lady of Elche, but we cannot accept original research.
