Option[edit]

based on your comment I added the option of a move to Thriller, though personally think Thriller (genre) is a bit of a mountain to climb. Cheers. In ictu oculi (talk) 03:28, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

Mea culpa on the hatnote. I do recommend you use edit summaries more often so other editors more easily know what you've done. --Jtalledo (talk) 14:09, 23 April 2013 (UTC)

Mengu[edit]

I see you raised an objection at WP:RM/TR over moving the Mengu article. That's okay, but I was just wondering what your specific concern is. As far as I can tell, moving Mengü (which is a disambiguation page) to Mengu (disambiguation) and moving Mengu (Japanese facial armour) to Mengu would resolve all ambiguity issues. The new disambiguation page would link to the Japanese facial armour article and all the articles linked at Mengü, and the facial armour article would have a hatnote redirecting readers looking for Mengü articles to the disambiguation page. Is that acceptable, or do you have another concern? Wilhelm Meis (☎ Diskuss | ✍ Beiträge) 04:57, 25 April 2013 (UTC)

My specific concern is that this should not be a RM/TR request, it should be a full-up move request, because the target of the redirect has changed in the history of the redirect, so the topic that it should point to or become should be discussed. -- 70.24.250.103 (talk) 05:00, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
But there is no other Mengu article (spelled that way) on Wikipedia. Only the Mengü articles listed there, so the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC of Mengü may be up for discussion, but regarding Mengu I don't see anything to discuss. That's why I thought it looked non-controversial, because I was only proposing dropping the parenthetical disambiguation (Japanese facial armour) from the article title, since the Mengu redirect currently points to that article anyway. In any case, I don't see anything else called Mengu (only Mengü). Wilhelm Meis (☎ Diskuss | ✍ Beiträge) 05:21, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
The topic of the redirect "Mengu" changed, so obviously, someone thought it meant something else. Therefore, it should be discussed in a full-up move request. -- 70.24.250.103 (talk) 05:23, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
It only changed from a redirect to Mengü (dab page) to a redirect to the Japanese facial armour article (and I proposed simply reversing that redirect, which has been stable for about a year now). So initially, someone thought it should redirect to the Mengü dab page as a simplified spelling. Oddly, a user had already moved the article from Menpō to Mengu (Japanese facial armour) even though Mengu had not yet been created (even as a redirect). That user has long since been blocked, so we can't ask him why he needlessly disambiguated it, but if he would have followed the usual protocol of using the most concise title necessary to be unambiguous, it would have obviated this whole discussion. Do you know of anything else on en.WP that could actually be the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC of Mengu? Without a specific primary topic concern, there is nothing to discuss. Wilhelm Meis (☎ Diskuss | ✍ Beiträge) 05:39, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
If it has moved from Menpo by a blocked user, then it should be discussed even more, since obviously, someone may wish to return it to Menpo. -- 70.24.250.103 (talk) 05:41, 25 April 2013 (UTC)

"Heroes"[edit]

In case you haven’t been following the discussion of your RM at Talk:"Heroes"#Requested move, I’ve mentioned concerns about the fact that you’re proposing two changes in a single move, without (anyone) previously seeking consensus for either one. I strongly recommend withdrawing the RM and first seeking consensus—for both changes—through simple discussion. It’s much easier to get an RM through when you already have people on board beforehand. —Frungi (talk) 04:17, 3 May 2013 (UTC)

If you haven’t noticed, the article was not moved for the above reasons. If you want this moved, I suggest starting either a discussion on that Talk page or a "Heroes" (album) RM (including the quotation marks in the title). —Frungi (talk) 22:20, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
