Horns[edit]

Hi. Could you please take your desire to change "horn" to "French horn" to a or some Talk pages? I think you need consensus for this change. Thanks and best wishes DBaK (talk) 09:58, 19 February 2014 (UTC)

French horn should often be called "horn" for short.

I'm not sure I understand you. My view and that of many others is that "French horn" is a mistake and outmoded, and we should simply refer to "horn". I certainly don't see "horn" as short for "French horn", just as wrong. It does not look like you have consensus for this change - you should take it to Talk pages, either those of the individual articles or maybe a project page, and try to get consensus. You should not just keep changing it. Please let me know if you need help with this - while I am personally opposed to your change I am quite happy for you to make it if you can get a clear consensus for it. Hope this helps. best wishes, DBaK (talk) 13:09, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

Edit warring[edit]

I don't agree with the use of the word "vandalize" above to describe your editing, nor do I think it was helpful to post a message telling you that an edit "did not appear constructive", with no attempt to explain why. However, you do currently appear to be engaged in an edit war at Disney's Greatest Hits, which means that you have been repeatedly undoing another user's edits. Repeatedly making the same edits over and over again is not a constructive way to resolve a disagreement. I also see that you were involved in disagreement over essentially similar edits to the same article about six months ago.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:48, 21 February 2014 (UTC)

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ACMEWikiNet (talkcontribs) 13:06, 8 March 2014 (UTC)

Baby Mine (song)[edit]

Please stop adding this unverified and trivial stuff to the article. It's edit warring too. I have removed the thread from ANI since this is not a matter to be discussed there, but I will block you if you keep adding this material. Drmies (talk) 16:10, 8 March 2014 (UTC)

In addition, you also add trivial stuff to Disney's Greatest Hits. That too is edit warring. ACMEWikiNet (talk) 13:07, 15 March 2014 (UTC)

April 2014[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did to Scott Joplin, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 04:42, 2 April 2014 (UTC)

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked temporarily from editing for persistently edit warring on various articles over a long time, despite several warnings. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 15:09, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
  • And now this IP address is blocked again, for the exact same reason, now for three months. Drmies (talk) 16:46, 14 May 2014 (UTC)

August 2014[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Gregorian calendar shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

The nature of the edit war is inserting excessive detail about calendar periods. You have done this with this IP here. You have done this using other IP addresses: [1] [2].

November 2014[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from 700 Years of Classical Treasures: A Tapestry in Music and Words. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. PLease note that the AfD template must not be removed until the discussion is complete. Thanks. PamD 19:37, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
