Evangelion[edit]

The original theatrical releases of the films' English language titles are "1.0" and "2.0". The DVDs, which are extended editions, have "1.11" and "2.22" as their titles.—Ryulong (竜龙) 08:18, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

You should probably state that in the relevant RM discussions. 76.65.128.132 (talk) 08:20, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
The "1.11" and "2.22" things are not what I am seeking to change. It is adding a full stop at the end of the title. So therefore editors such as yourself who have no idea what the subject is about should not care about the 1.0/1.11 disparity as it is not the focus of the move request.—Ryulong (竜龙) 08:49, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
If the basis of you request is a photo of a DVD cover, and stating that it should match, the disparity is a great concern, since you deliberately ignore it without stating why. It's a much bigger difference than a fullstop. 76.65.128.132 (talk) 08:54, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
But it was not the focus of the moves. The films are definitely known to be "Evangelion 1.0", "Evangelion 2.0", and "Evangelion 3.0". The fact that I provided sources that show that the full stop is included in the title, but the DVD and Blu-ray releases are titled "Evangelion 1.11" and "Evangelion 2.22", should not mean that these pages should be moved to "Evangelion 1.11" or "Evangelion 2.22".—Ryulong (竜龙) 10:50, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

Thanks. I'm filing the request at RM now. 76.65.128.132 (talk) 05:13, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
It's been reverted pending discussion. I'm not going to get involved, because I honestly just don't understand the details of this stuff. CüRlyTüRkeyTalkContribs 08:01, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
Argh. What a futzed up situation. From my understanding of WP:GFDL, it should have been fine, since you were the only contributor, and it's how people do sandboxes normally. 76.65.128.132 (talk) 09:02, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
