Errr... Could you please explain more carefully? Are you sure you have the right guy? I read your invitation to "work on this article, please? Biodiversity of New Caledonia. It is a very important archaic species group in Paleobotany and evolution". Now, I love compliments, but I am neither a botanist, nor a palaeontologist, nor have I been within 1000 km of New Caledonia in my life, so I wonder why you picked me. I understand the importance, and I loved the picture of the Kagu, and I checked on the article history, where I do see that you have been doing a lot of work, so I can try to help if your problem is your command of writing for WP, but before I jump in, I must ask you to do a bit of explaining! Cheers till then, Jon JonRichfield (talk) 09:32, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
- I'm also unsure why I was asked to edit this particular article since I have no experience in this field, but I went ahead and rewrote the article's lead. Judging from the IP user's contributions, it looks like he or she tried the Community Portal and Oceania Portal, then reached out to any active editors they could find, and finally found the WikiProject Ecology talkpage. It seems to have worked, because now there are several people working on the article. -Mabeenot (talk) 17:13, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
