What? John Paul II or any other Pope apologizing for Bruno? Show me the evidence. The only "apology" I've ever heard about was the pseudo-apology of John Paul II, in which the Church of Rome chided itself mildly for its' "excess of zeal in the defense of truth." That "defense" part negates any credibility that the Church is ready to face up to its bloody crimes, such as the persecution and murder of Bruno.
