April 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm Jim1138. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Database because it seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 18:55, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to In-memory database with this edit. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links may include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Katieh5584 (talk) 20:13, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to In-memory database with this edit. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. Information icon Hello, I'm Wzrd1. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to IBM DB2 because it appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. I also removed the advertisement from the article on Oracle database. Please refrain from promoting a single commercial product on Wikipedia, continued attempts to do so may result in your IP from being blocked from editing. Wzrd1 (talk) 14:15, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Oracle Database, you may be blocked from editing. I reverted your commercial plug for a particular platform once, you reverted it. Continued activity in that manner constitutes edit warring and will result in your IP being blocked from editing. Information icon Hello, I'm My name is not dave. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made with this edit to In-memory database, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Mynameisnotdave (talk/contribs) 18:26, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

Information icon Please refrain from making nonconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at ALTIBASE HDB with this edit. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism. Thank you. μc8 (talk) 16:33, 8 May 2014 (UTC)

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Oracle Database. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. -- intgr [talk] 18:43, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
