File source problem with File:Viktor_Yanukovych_official_pic.png[edit]

Copyright-problem.svg

Thank you for uploading File:Viktor_Yanukovych_official_pic.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:15, 2 January 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 18:15, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi. Thanks for uploading File:LBCIlogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. libyan flag[edit]

to just pretend the situation in libya is not abnormal, not see that 'official' business is suspended, - that the flag is just the official flag of the country, not a partisan flag at this moment is sclerotic thinking , it is POV - enough sclerotic minds control the page to ensure the green flag remains, but I personally regard this as absurd, and your dictatorial stating of the position, hands off kind of thing, pompous and wrong headed, as the nation is in a changed situation now - other flags are flown in the east of libya, and the tri colour has assumed predominance, either both or neither should be shown - just the green flag is a violation of NPOV rules. don't bother to reply , i know the spiel, but it is a violation of NPOV, it looks pro-gadaffi. Replaceable fair use File:Hilda Khalife.JPG[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Thanks for uploading File:Hilda Khalife.JPG. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. We hope (talk) 00:42, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Celebrity Duets Arab World. Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Dominique Hourani. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Information you add to articles must be sourced to reliable sources - see WP:RS to understand what sources we accept. This is particularly important for anything controversial or defamatory. Even though ERT have closed down temporarily, the EBU have not removed them as active members just yet - and that is an official statement from the EBU's website (which I have provided the link on both talk pages). Orphaned non-free media (File:Star academy lebanon.jpg)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading File:Star academy lebanon.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Werieth (talk) 12:37, 23 August 2013 (UTC)

Personal questions[edit]

Hi,

do you mind if I were to ask you a few personal questions? Feel free to not answer them, but I ask them because I wish to know something about 'memory' in Russia or with Russians in general. I ask these questions to several native Russian speakers, so forgive me if you encounter these questions on different talkpages. So here are the questions:

  • When were you born?
  • Were you 16 or older in the 1980s?
  • Were you born in Russia/Soviet Union? Where?
  • How do you remember the Soviet-Afghan war/Afghan war?
  • How do you remember the Soviet repression, such as the Gulag or the prison camp system?
  • How do you remember the public discussion in the 1980s/1990s about the repression and the prison camp system?
  • How do you feel about the victims of the Afghan war and the victims of the repression?

Answer in anyway you like (which includes not answering as well of course), thank you very much.

Kind regards,

Mallerd (talk) 18:38, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

October 2013[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article, specifically Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation, may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Werieth (talk) 12:20, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

This is your final warning if you continue to violate WP:NFC like you did here you will blocked. Werieth (talk) 13:51, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Pierre El Daher.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Pierre El Daher.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 13:47, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not remove citations or information sourced through citations simply because a link to a source is not working, as you did to MyTV (Arabic). Dead links should not be deleted. Instead, please repair or replace the link, if possible, and ensure properly sourced information is retained. Often, a live substitute link can be found. Links not used as references, notes or citations are not as important, such as those listed in the "External links" or "Further reading" sections, but bad links in those sections should also be fixed if possible. Disambiguation link notification for January 27[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited UM Airlines, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Monastir (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Arbuzov was never dismissed from being acting Prime Minister, while Turchynov due to situation in the country, was appointed coordinator of Cabinet of Minister (not Prime Minister). Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 00:07, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

A.h. kingInformation has to be verified before posting it. Is it not the main principle of wikipedia? Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 00:30, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
A.h. king, a simple question. Did Arbuzov resign from his office? Did anybody dismiss him? On February 24, 2014 Arbuzov as an acting Prime Minister of Ukraine released a statement: "Complex circumstances should not prevent economy of the country to work". Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 01:17, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
This RELIABLE source states that Turchynov was named acting PM by the Verkhovna Rada: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-26316268 (paragraph 5-6). A.h. king • Talk to me! 10:01, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
A.h. king, how is that RELIABLE? Just because it published by BBC, it is not automatically reliable. Is the information published by the Supreme Council of Ukraine non-reliable?? Wikipedia is not a newschannel to republish some random information from other sources. Wikipedia information should be such that correspond the reality. Information on appointments to government offices is documented with official documents which proscribe those appointments. Turchynov is a coordinator of CabMin (not Prime Minister), yet Arbuzov continues to occupy the office of Prime Minister of Ukraine. If Turchynov would have been appointed acting Prime Minister, Arbuzov should have been dismissed. It did not take place. Please, note that even Vitaliy Zakharchenko has not been completely dismissed from his post, but considering situation in Ukraine and the fact that the head of Ukrainian militsiya is on the run Arsen Avakov was temporarily appointed in his place. Also, look that no ministerial portfolios were switched as of yet, but rather the current ministries are being simply dismissed. The new temporary government should be appointed on Thursday, February 27. A lot of media reporters are rushing with conclusions or assumptions, but instead simplify things when they should be reported the way they are. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 14:58, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
Look at the official websites of the Supreme Council of Ukraine, the President of Ukraine, and the Cabinet of Ukraine. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 15:02, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
The reason Turchynov is the acting President due to the Constitution of Ukraine where the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada acts as the President of Ukraine in the absence of one (ex officio). No one has any intentions to usurp power in the country, yet there are many who portray it as such. There were dismissal and resignation of certain number of officials that was approved by the Ukrainian parliament, any other officials are absent without leave (AWOL) and should be brought to liability as one who left their office or missing from their work without proper documentation. No one dismissed Arbuzov from his office. On February 26 he needs to hold government meeting. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 15:25, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
After signing the treaty with parliamentary opposition the President had to officially address people, yet he chose an alternative way discrediting the opposition, his supporting party and bringing the country on a verge of civil schism. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 15:35, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
The article about Viktor Yanukovych also states that Yanukovych was impeached which also is not true. He was removed from the office due to self-withdrawal (Ukrainian: самоусунення, samousunennia). Even the English article does not mention anything about impeachment which constitutes an original research. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 15:45, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
On February 22, 2014 Oleksandr Turchynov, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada (note, not an acting Prime Minister), conducted a conference with acting government officials. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 16:04, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
A.h. king, also, please, consider that the fact of the chairman of Parliament coordinating (not chairing) the Cabinet of Ukraine is mentioned by the All-Ukrainian Association Maidan. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 16:11, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

Is Federal State of New Russia notable?[edit]

The references that are secondary have add nothing to the article (e.g. Brzezinski's book) and the primary sources seem very unreliable. The way it is written, I think the article was made by fan-boys of the movement. Thought I'd make a reviewer aware of that. -Llehsadam (talk) 14:37, 1 June 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for your message. Regardless of any political views, I believe that the article is useless and not referenced properly. Even this self-proclaimed state is very vague in its formation, structure and so on.A.h. king • Talk to me! 15:06, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
