South Georgia[edit]

I assumed that you made your edit to the South Georgia article in good faith. However, unfortunately the edit you added was to place an advert for an external link in an article, which is inappropriate as per WP:MOS. Your edits have therefore been reverted. For future reference we generally only add external links if we use them as a source for an article, Wikipedia itself is not a repository of external links. Please don't take this as discouraging you to try and edit articles but can I suggest you have a look at some of the polcies beforehand. Justin talk 16:57, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sure it will be a useful resource in future, however, it isn't used as a source in the article. We don't advertise websites whether or not your have a commercial interest. Justin talk 17:07, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Look I really don't have anything against this website, if it does what it says on the tin, then it will be referenced. Once it has been, its perfectly legitimate to add it as an external link. That really is the best way of getting it into the article, if I hadn't reverted it, the chances are that a bot would have done so anyway. Justin talk 21:58, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
