KO One and The Legend of Brown Sugar Chivalries[edit]

I've removed both shows from the wuxia categories and added them to Category:Martial arts television series. While they have wuxia elements, I don't see them as actual wuxia. It's kinda like how Ryuhei Kitamura's Versus is called a chanbara film when it isn't. With some reliable sources, however, KO One and The Legend of Brown Sugar Chivalries could be covered in the wuxia article as examples of "post-modern wuxia".--Nohansen (talk) 05:46, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

The Legend of Brown Sugar Chivalries[edit]

First of all, if you want to communicate with me, please use my talk page. There is a BIG difference between User:Andrew c and User talk:Andrew c. If you look at the tabs at the top of each page, you will note that one of them says "discussion". These are talk pages where users can communicate with each other. For example, this page, User talk:Action Parker, is your talk page where users can leave message for you. You also have User:Action Parker which you can make for yourself (see WP:UP). I hope this helps.

Next, your comment "I will only write the synopsis and information according to my very own knowledge of the show," implies original research. You cannot publish your own knowledge on wikipedia, because all content must be attributed, through citations, to reliable sources. You should find independent articles and books and reviews that discuss this topic, cite them, and summarize the sources in your own words. Copy and pasting copyrighted material is not good, and not using sources and publishing your own knowledge is likewise not good. I know this is a bit overwhelming and possibly confusing, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my TALK page;) Thanks.-Andrew c [talk] 19:05, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Repost of Terminology of KO One[edit]

Information icon.svg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Terminology of KO One, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Terminology of KO One was previously deleted as a result of an articles for deletion (or another XfD)

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Terminology of KO One, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Fair use rationale for File:Dong_Zhuo.jpg[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Dong_Zhuo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 21:16, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Images in lists[edit]

We've been through this on several articles. List articles, such as List of K.O.3an Guo characters, are not appropriate places for the use of most non-free images. Per our non-free content policies, such images should not be used in this way. If the character is not significant enough for his/her own article, then we do not need an image identifying him/her. Consider using a group photo involving several main characters if you believe that the article should include an image. (ESkog)(Talk) 19:57, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Use of Wikipedia materials[edit]

Hi, Since the materials in Wikipedia are generally not copyrighted, there is no need to request permission to use them. The only exception involves certain images that are copyrighted, and their tags will note that they are. Hope this helps. Ngchen (talk) 14:54, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Brown_Sugar_Macchiato.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Brown_Sugar_Macchiato.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 04:48, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Wu Hu Jiang[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on Wu Hu Jiang requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Information.svg Hello Action Parker! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 4 of the articles that you created are Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 1,423 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Kenny Kwan - Find sources: "Kenny Kwan" – news · newspapers · books · scholar · JSTOR · free images
  2. Tsai Yi-chen - Find sources: "Tsai Yi-chen" – news · newspapers · books · scholar · JSTOR · free images
  3. Tsai Han-tsen - Find sources: "Tsai Han-tsen" – news · newspapers · books · scholar · JSTOR · free images
  4. George Hu - Find sources: "George Hu" – news · newspapers · books · scholar · JSTOR · free images

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Tsai Han-tsen has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:N Unable to find reliable, secondary sources which provide in-depth coverage of this Japanese actress.

Speedy deletion nomination of Atticus Mitchell[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Atticus Mitchell, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Geraldo Perez (talk) 14:39, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
