[edit] Muiscas

Hi Albeiro, I probably erased it by mistake.. I'll put it back. About the Muiscas I'll have to study the subject. The article is a rough translation from the spanish version which is also not very well written. --User talk:F3rn4nd0

[edit] If you wouldn't mind, don't attack other cultures to make Medellín look better

Η άγνοια είναι τολμηρή

Remember this? Your first funny ass response, completely without prompting.

--> I do not know if you are paranoid or no, but what is sad to me is that most observations point only to violence like there is an interest to keep the "image" of "the most violent city of the world" alived. It is like if you (I mean those interested in that point), just go to look the confirmation of what they think is Medellín, ignoring other facts like its importance not only in Colombia but in Latin America, a city of thinkers, universities, industry, poetry, festivals, commerce and so on. Violence actually is something very relative. A city can be very violent this summer or not. I live, for example, in a very violent city where you can not go alone in the night, however, nobody says that in its article, also because it has not the importance of Medellín. I am not a part of such campaign you say and I am the first to fight such campaign, but I can guest that such campaign is the consequence to the other campaign to show Medellín and Colombia as a violent-like Old West country (remember the rampant comment of the most British Sir Bob Ainsworth stating that we Colombians "are violent by nature" forgetting his hooligans?). For me you can concentrate in count numbers that actually we shoud not hide, since it will rise attention and promote more improvements, but let us work other proposals like that of showing Medellín as it is: a modern and Western city, so city as any city of Europe and North America and not a farm of chickens and that American image of an Old West gost town as it is presented by Hollywood. --Albeiror24 (talk) 16:14, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Bold 1: I had no idea what you were talking about, but if that was true there would be an entire, stand-alone crime article on the city. Hell, there's one for Los Angeles, New York and Detroit...why isn't there one for Medellín anyway? In fact it's RIDICULOUS that a city as violent as Medellín ONLY has a minor crime section! Why is it that only American cities seem to have them as full articles Al? Answer me that. It's bizarre, none of these places have anything REMOTELY like Medellín's death toll, so stop complaining.

Bold 2: Sihanoukville is much safer than Medellín historically and again you're only dragging one place down to make Medellín/Colombia look better. Then you go into this obsession you have that Colombia or Medellín are being purposefully targeted by Hollywood or individuals. THEN you start bringing English football hooligans into it, who are nothing LIKE criminals in Medellín or Colombia in general. The way I see it you're defending killers. Your comments got more and more paranoid as you went on. When people are raising genuine concerns over the tone of the article and wanting to keep it as factual as possible, don't target other cultures without provocation expecting people to just sit there and take it. Others (and I hope you) will see that I'm a very fair editor who leaves out emotions. Power Society (talk) 23:19, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Editor Review

You asked whether you need to do an editor review. The answer is no. It is suggested because many people want reviews, but if you don't feel comfortable doing it, then you don't have to. It is not required. -Rrius (talk) 00:08, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Vaya, ¡¡agradezco tus palabras y tu voto!!

[edit] Our Lady of the Assassins (film)

Nuvola apps important.svg

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Our Lady of the Assassins (film), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: La virgen de los sicarios. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 01:56, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Updated DYK query On February 11, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Yeay Mao, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Congratulations on your DYK. I'm sorry. I nominated the article at DYKI for you, but forgot to inform you about it - not very polite of me. By the way, I've seen the great work you have been doing on Cambodia articles - please keep it up! Cheers, Paxse (talk) 20:24, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Moises Arias

Information.svg Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Moises Arias, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability and the content has been removed. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - SummerPhD (talk) 18:02, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for updating the article. You added a number of references to the article without providing a URL to the web source or sufficient information for someone else to verify the reference. I would be helpful for verification if you would include the links in the reference. TVRage and NNDB are not considered as reliable sources as facts are anonymouse user entered and not fact checked. IMDB is useful for casting information but not reliable for much else also because of anonymous user editing. A source you might consider using is http://www.people.com/people/archive/article/0,,20221831,00.html. Also see Wikipedia:Citation templates for useful formatting tools. --NrDg 14:56, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Srok Khmer jeer srok kiyom (note that was almost the Angkor beer slogan!). Cambodia is now my home. I'm delighted to meet another Barang in Cambodia here on wikipedia. [edit] Maieutics

Dear Al,

I see that back in February you added this line to the Maieutics article: "But it is not proven than the historical Socrates is the original author, although it has to see with the Socratic School."

I don't understand the last part ("... although it has to see with the Socratic School"). Can you please explain what you meant or change the wording a bit? Thanks! Emptymountains (talk) 17:48, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Universities in Colombia

Greetings, I've noticed a message that you posted in the Category talk:Universities and colleges in Colombia page. I understand your concern, but I might be able to give you a comment on institution naming which might be kind of tricky. It is usual to translate the word "University" when referring to such institution. The same happens in Spanish, as for example es:Universidad Harvard, es:Universidad Yale, es:Universidad Brown, or es:Universidad Federal de Río de Janeiro. Although some of the examples are of notable institutions, I don't know if we can apply the same rule to all Colombian Universities. I must to admit that, nevertheless, the proper names like the department name, or so, should not be under any circumstance be translated. Also, it is common to find the use the translated name in published academic journals. I guess if you have any more comments, we could replace the english names for spanish names. [edit] April 2010

Information.svg Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to John Bosco, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Advice - Don't delete cited material. You have no consensus for deleting material in this article.--Morenooso (talk) 06:28, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Recommendation for compromise

Please see this [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3AJohn_Bosco&action=historysubmit&diff=360589556&oldid=360524375 on Bosco's talkpage. I am sincere in my wish to end the dispute and will abide by a neutral third opinion. --Morenooso (talk) 20:36, 6 May 2010 (UTC)

Thank you. Going to see it just now. --Albeiror24 - English - Español - Italiano - ខ្មែរ 06:04, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
This is the DIFF of my post. It is neutral and describes what the reviewer needs to know. Whoever looks at it should review the article section and talkpage. I am glad we agreed on this matter and I pledge to honor whatever the Third Opinion is. Please note that my sig does not appear so as to not influence the opinion. I have found that regardless of the sigs on the talkpages, most TOs are helpful in resolving problems or disputes like this. --Morenooso (talk) 06:30, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Additionally, it may require about 12 hours or more but hopefully less. --Morenooso (talk) 06:33, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
I think because two other editors jumped in on discussing matters on his talkpage, the TO will be delayed. It's too bad they could not have waited. Now, we may never get one. --Morenooso (talk) 02:03, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
It was worst than I thought. Because the other editors jumped in, a Third Opinion cannot be rendered because the dispute has be between only two editors. I really wish the other two editors would have looked at what a TO is and not jumped on the talkpage. --Morenooso (talk) 14:18, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Bosco

Ciao! I've removed the image of the Kingdom of Sardinia since knowing the size of his birth country (also, after a few years it became another after unification of Italy) it has no relevance at all in the comprehension of the article. Grazie and good work!!! --'''Attilios''' (talk) 07:18, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Please bambino, do it not more. We are in reconstruction of the article. Thank you for your suggestions, but notify me first of any observation. Grazie :) --Albeiror24 - English - Español - Italiano - ខ្មែរ 16:04, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Hope the result will be something less hagiographic than it is now. The article was clearly written by an adorator of Bosco. I wonder why people cannot maintain objectivity towards some figures!! Ciao e buon lavoro! --'''Attilios''' (talk) 17:34, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

I'm agree. I am reviewing the article line by line. Thank you for your participation. It is very welcome. Grazie. --Albeiror24 - English - Español - Italiano - ខ្មែរ 04:32, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Re the POV tag - what is going on with the article. You know, I thought you and I had consensus building until a couple of editors jumped in. Now, I really don't know what to think. ----moreno oso (talk) 15:16, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Communication theory article

Wikipedia, 111123.

Cordiales Saludos.
