Welcome!

Hello, Alexdude1991, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

Please take a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Music/Notability and Music Guidelines/Songs when creating new articles on songs. Not all songs are inherrently notable for inclusion on Wikipedia. Thanks. --Madchester 00:55, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey!!!!! Alexdude1991 22:46, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. abakharev 02:02, 26 June 2006 (UTC) I am sorry, the edit was not vandalism. abakharev 05:54, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure it was vandalism? This looks like a good faith attempt to make WP:Vandalism more informative, however misguided (not understanding that policy pages are generally only edited after consensus is reached on the talk page). {unblock|I am using a shared IP and do not have a reason to be blocked. Another user has acquired the block.}

What's the IP address? --Pilotguy (roger that) 19:12, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We can't unblock you at this time, because you haven't given us the information we need to even look into your block. You yourself were not blocked; if you were prevented from editing, you must have been autoblocked or blocked because of your IP address. I'm removing your unblock request because there's nothing we can do without this information. If you still want to be unblocked, feel free to add the {{unblock}} tag back to this page, and be sure to include the message you saw when you tried to edit, including the IP address. This is what the message looks like. Without that information, we can't help you. Mangojuicetalk 02:48, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's all good now, I'm no longer blocked. Thanks for your help. Alexdude1991 21:46, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Wrmlogo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Wrmlogo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:01, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Wrmlogo.jpg)[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:Wrmlogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Aspects (talk) 07:39, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Whiterosemovement.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
