Hello and thank you for the nice welcome! My name is Alessandro and I'm from Rome, Italy. I started my article about the "Lara language". It's still a "stub" but will be soon developed. I have checked using google, and it would appear that this language isn't all that notable - this is likely to result in deletion of the article, especially as you have yourself admitted to being the author of the language. I should warn you that constructed languages are not automatically kept on Wikipedia, just the more notable ones. -- Francs2000 | Talk

About deleting Lara language page[edit]

First of all, a (belated) welcome to you, Alessandro! Don't feel discouraged by this whole thing about Lara. Wikipedia is quite a huge machine that keeps pumping 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365¼ days a year; some people can get quite touchy about "obscure" items that in their opinion does not belong here.

Anyway, you wrote:

You are welcome. Well, being a conlanger myself I know all that by experience. Somehow I constantly end up defending the art of conlanging here, and frankly, I am already tired of that. Anyway, I hope you don't feel offended by my "delete" vote. You should understand that it is my passion for the field that prompts me to keep the conlang section as clean as possible, and in order to achieve that, one must sometimes be severe (even when I personally like a language) in order not to give ammunition to those who prefer to have ALL conlang-related articles deleted (and believe me, there are quite a few of those).

Anyway, here are a few suggestions for preserving your article (which I think is excellent, BTW):

You might consider moving the article to your own user space (like this: User:Alexped/Lara). Occasionally pages like that can be subject to a VFD too, but only when the content is extremely rude, insulting, pornographic, etc. Normally, people won't touch it there. In your case I'm sure the article will be safe there.
If you decide to write something on your user page, you may of course say something about Lara too.
You can also create an article on the Conlang Wiki at Wikicities. In fact, I have already taken the liberty to move the contents of Lara language to http://conlang.wikicities.com/wiki/lara (feel of course free to modify or blank it). Another popular wiki for conlangs is http://wiki.frath.net.
Any conlang should have an entry on . Langmaker But Lara is already there, I think.
