Deletion[edit]

You have incorrectly used the {{prod}} template on The Video Games Guide to nominate an article for deletion via WP:AFD. When you nominate an article for deletion, you should use the {{afd}} template, not the {{prod}} template, which is used for proposed deletion. Please read the deletion policy again, and be careful when criticising other editors for removing the {{prod}} template when they are not in error for doing so. --Pak21 15:07, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, I wasn't clear about this. Alf Boggis 15:21, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Image Copyright problem

Hi Alf Boggis!
We thank you for uploading Image:Stalbanshighstreet1807 cropped640.jpg, but there is a problem. Your image is currently missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Unless you can help by adding a copyright tag, it may be deleted by an Administrator. If you know this information, then we urge you to add a copyright tag to the image description page. We apologize for this, but all images must confirm to policy on Wikipedia.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks so much for your cooperation.

Fair use rationale for File:Bbc-revs.jpg[edit]

Copyright-problem.svg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Bbc-revs.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:11, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Cockney alphabet[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on Cockney alphabet requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. serioushat 01:27, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Cockney alphabet[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Cockney alphabet has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No reliable sources indicate notability, and the lists seem un-encyclopedic.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. serioushat 01:34, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Spectrum 3D Deathchase.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Spectrum 3D Deathchase.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:36, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
