Welcome![edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Newcomers help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user talk page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I noticed you are known only as an IP address; that means you are not signed up. To sign up, you only need to click Create account and choose a username and password. You don't need to provide any personal information. If you sign up, you'll have a username that others can use to recognize you and leave you messages on the wiki. You'll be able to sign your name just by typing four tildes (~~~~) when you leave someone else a message. Plus, you (and others) will easily be able to see a list of all your contributions to Wikipedia.

If you have any questions, see the help pages, ask at the Village pump, or feel free to ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!Bakaman 04:07, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

reply[edit]

I mainly deal with Hindu people and bios and what not. I'm not amazingly knowledgeable on philosphical things. Perhaps a quick yell at the Hinduism notice board may yield some results. Also User:Raj2004 or USer:Saiva suj may know a bit as well.Bakaman 20:11, 25 December 2006 (UTC)

Great work on Robert Irwin[edit]

Hi-

Great contributions to the bibliography of Robert Irwin.Dogru144 18:42, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi there[edit]

I saw your recent edits to Larry Johnson where you added his name to one of the cat. pipes. I removed it because it is essentially "repetative text". The {{DEFAULTSORT}}template does that automatically for all category pages. Let me know if you have any questions, i've marked this page for watching so you can just respond here and i'll see it. re: Johnson[edit]

Hi. Yes, I was looking at the People from Centre County or whatever page, and thought if I adjusted the cat. pipe I'd be able to make it read "Larry Johnson" and not "Larry Johnson (American football)". Didn't work, though...

I'm hoping I remember that defaultsort command. Would come in useful.

  • That's something that a lot of people think about category tags - i used to be one of them. For example [[Category:National Football League players|Larry Johnson - RB]] wouldn't make it display any different. Juan Miguel Fangio| ►Chat  08:06, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
  • Ps - if you have any other technical questions about wiki, just hit me up on my talk page. I'm far from an expert, but i usually know where to find the information or people that do know the answers. Juan Miguel Fangio| ►Chat  08:07, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of Breton saints, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tanguy (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
