Chinese Paladin articles[edit]

Hey, Armormew! I noticed that you're creating a bunch of articles about what I guess are the Chinese Paladin/Legend of Sword and Fairy games. I don't really know anything about the games, but on reading the articles, I was wondering why you named them that way; when the title of the article is "Chinese Paladin X" but the body of the article never mentions that name and instead calls it something else, it gets confusing, at least for me. Would you consider renaming the articles to "Legend of Sword and Fairy X", with the Chinese Paladin X titles as redirects, reworking the articles to use the name used in the title, or at least explaining a little why there are two different names? Thanks! Writ Keeper (WK to move) 13:36, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I saw that you renamed them; thanks! Don't worry about the Madman Bot notice below, of course. It's not a big deal, but just so you know, there's a better way to rename pages that will avoid MadmanBot misinterpreting things as it did. Instead of copying and pasting, if you go to the downward-pointing triangle in the upper-right corner of the screen, you'll see there's a link in the menu that pops up labeled "Move". If you click that page, it'll take you to the move page screen, where you can move pages to new titles (in effect renaming them). All you have to do is type the new name into the "To New Title" box (be sure to keep the first option there set to (Article)), type in a reason for the rename into the Reason box, and hit the Move page button. This will move the page with its edit history intact, and it'll also automatically create the redirect from the old title. Again, it's no big deal; I'll perform a histmerge on the pages later in the day to fix the edit histories, so no harm done or anything. Thanks again! Hello, Armormew, and thank you for your contributions!

I wanted to let you know it seems an article you worked on, The Legend of Sword and Fairy 5 Prequel, is copied from another Wikipedia page, Chinese Paladin 5 Prequel. It's fine to do this as long as you provide the following information in the edit summary:

  1. a link to the article you copied from
  2. the date you copied it

You can do this now by editing the page, making any minor edit to the article, and adding the above information into the edit summary.

If you're still not sure how to fix the problem, please leave a message at the help desk. It's possible that I made a mistake, so feel free to remove the tag I placed on the article.

Thanks again for helping build the free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 13:48, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

July 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Xuan-Yuan Sword may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • The E-Paper of the Maple Dance with Xuan-Yuan Sword, 62nd: The English Name of Xuan-Yuan Sword)])</ref> refers to a series of Chinese [[role-playing video game]]s for [[personal computers]]

Disambiguation link notification for March 16[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Xuan-Yuan Sword, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Taiyi. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Strangely enough, the list page actually works fine in this case. Armormew (talk) 13:42, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
