Thanks[edit]

Thanks for your work in cleaning up spam in hair and personal care related articles. They are frequent targets for low-content spam sites. OhNoitsJamie Talk 13:41, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Cleaning up spam[edit]

Thanks for noticing and removing spam across many articles. If you've caught a spammer just as they've added something it's usually better to revert the most recent change rather than manually erasing it, as they may have overwritten a previous link or citation-needed tag. Keep up the good work. --McGeddon (talk) 12:34, 17 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if an account is a pure and blatant spammer, you can report this at WP:AIV to get it blocked. (Usually it needs at least one ignored warning first, but if it's an obvious enough spammer it can be blocked outright.) I put Austinxpe up there after seeing your reverts. --McGeddon (talk) 12:45, 17 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Spam cleanup[edit]

Nice job on the spam cleanup. It's also a good idea to add warnings ({{subst:uw-spam1}}, {{subst:uw-spam2}}, etc) to the spammers' talk pages so that we can track and block if they persist. I like to also add tracking tags, as I did here. Cheers, OhNoitsJamie Talk 15:17, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kettle[edit]

Hi, just seen this edit.

I'm puzzled - how is this affiliate or a spam site? Furthermore, I'm somewhat worried that this has left the section completely unreferenced. — Smjg (talk) 16:39, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Spam Phobia[edit]

Hi,

Do you read and check what is linked or cited? I don't think you do that and without checking are removing them. You are not checking that relevant and informative things are linked. You are also not giving any reason that how it is spam. If only give a link or cited to any website as a reference on Wikipedia then I think Wikipedia will no longer an authentic reference website.

You should check these things - Is cited/referenced link related and giving exact/correct info or not - Is promotional page/content is linked or some informative content
