File:Cristmas eve, Isle of Pines, 1910 copy.jpg[edit]

When adding a licence which states that the image was published before 1923, please also add information on when and where it was published before 1923, so that the information can be verified. Also see the previous discussion at WP:PUF where no one was able to identify a pre-2013 publication of the photo. --Stefan2 (talk) 23:32, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

Disco Demolition NIght[edit]

Hi, I see you've been on the article for quite a while. It's my intent to push the articles towards FAC. You'd be willing to be a co-nominator when it's ready, I trust?--Wehwalt (talk) 18:51, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

Sure, I'll co-nominate. You're doing a great job, by the way. The FAC folks will probably want more free images, so we ought to be on the lookout for those. - Who is John Galt? 19:37, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
I can't imagine where we could find free use images of the event. 1979 is firmly in the copyright era. There's one of Dahl, but it's fairly recent, I may use it in the final section.--Wehwalt (talk) 20:53, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
It would be down to people posting pictures they took of the event to Flickr or something like that and releasing under a free license. I'll look around and see what I can find. - Who is John Galt? 20:56, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
I dont' think we can expect much more from the peer review. We might as well run it at FAC.--Wehwalt (talk) 01:55, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
Sounds fine to me. I'll check in periodically and help with implementing their suggestions. - Who is John Galt? 16:39, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
Nommed.--Wehwalt (talk) 17:03, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 14[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Stan Hansen, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bad News Brown (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Aurolac[edit]

Re: your recent remarks on my talk page first suggesting I was creating an attack page, and then complaining about the Aurolac redirect: Aurolac was a synthetic paint thinner used in Romania; I believe it is no longer manufactured. It was so popular with huffers that the name became the Romanian word for someone who huffs inhalents (usually in the plural, aurolaci).

We could have a disambiguation page at Aurolac also providing an article about the synthetic paint thinner itself (I don't know enough about it to write it), but people reading about the problems of Romanian youth are very likely to run into the term aurolaci (it often fails to be translated to an equivalent English-language colloquialism), and I think the link is entirely appropriate, certainly not amounting to anything like an attack. What exactly is the problem? - Jmabel | Talk 20:47, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

Red Hat article[edit]

It was deleted because it was full of misrepresentations of the sources cited. I'm working to clean up similar articles, e.g. Edgewood Arsenal experiments and Project 112. This is a difficult area to write about because of the incomplete disclosures. The last thing we need is an advocate to insert "CIA! CIA! CIA!" all over the place despite what the sources say. 86.121.18.17 (talk) 17:40, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

I would like to see the article improved and returned to mainspace. - Who is John Galt? 20:09, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Why is it difficult to write about these topics? Because one has to use primary government sources on this topic. Why is everyone on Wikipedia afraid to say CIA? "US intelligence agencies" from the 1950-1960s leave only very few choices. Makes you wonder...Johnvr4 (talk) 14:38, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

re: Uncivil accusations[edit]

Sorry about unclear edit summary. Please don't take it personally. "Undue promotion" is not accusation about you, since I don't think you are her buddy. It is her presence in every article about chernobyl is undue weight. The navbox must be directly about chernobyl, not about everything that is in category:Chernobyl disaster. Filatova was in spotlight for a short time simply because she was caught cheated about her solo biker's travel in the chernobyl zone. And article about her gives close to nothing new about the subject. Staszek Lem (talk) 00:34, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

re:Elena Filatova[edit]

There is no third-party references to this section. She was caught cheating once, so there is no trust in what she writes about herself. Therefore the whole section is dubious OR. It is one thing to add ext links to her webwork; it is another to write an opinion what exactly is there. But I will not clash over this. Staszek Lem (talk) 01:05, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

Wikipedians who are not a Wikipedian[edit]

I've been chuckling while reading the fuss over this category. Now that it is deleted, its redlinked state makes it even more prominent. Kinda Streisand effect, right? Staszek Lem (talk) 01:08, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

Front 242 live albums[edit]

Hey there. I saw that you restored two Front 242 articles today. One I redirected because it was an unsourced article for an unofficial bootleg, and the other was redirected after an AfD discussion. Just curious what your reasoning was on those. Thanks. —Torchiest talkedits 03:32, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for tending "to be a friendly, helpful editor with those who are objective", for "increasingly less patience for snide, haughty attitudes and those who feel thinly-veiled insults are a proper way to have a conversation", for quality articles such as Disco Demolition Night, achieved in team spirit, and gnomish work, removing trivia and restoring what is not, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!
