There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
  Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
  Help contribute to articles

  Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Sourcing[edit]

I'm sure you mean well with your additions to Seth Green, but the problem is how you misplaced the source within the article, and "EthniCelebs" is not considered a reliable source. To cite information within an article, you would have to use ref tags (<ref></ref>) within the article and write a bit from the source that you wish to include. The source (in this case, the URL) would go between the links. For the source you used, the ref would look something like this:

<ref>{{cite web|url=http://ethnicelebs.com/seth-green|work=EthniCelebs|title=Seth Green|accessdate=April 8, 2014}}</ref>

When using material from the reference in this instance, you would say "Green is of Russian, Scottish, Polish, and Latvian descent" and use the reference at the end of the sentence. Here it what you would insert:

Green is of Russian, Scottish, Polish, and Latvian descent.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://ethnicelebs.com/seth-green|work=EthniCelebs|title=Seth Green|accessdate=April 8, 2014}}</ref>

However, keep in mind that EthniCelebs is not reliable, so don't use that as a source for people's ethnicity. If you have further questions about sourcing, feel free to ask. XXSNUGGUMSXX (talk) 23:37, 8 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Duran Duran, have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Jim1138 (talk) 16:30, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:28, 7 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for May 31[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Heading Out to the Highway, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Heavy metal (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
