Proposed deletion of Genetics Forum[edit]

The article Genetics Forum has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I couldn't establish that this meets WP:NOTABILITY

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Thanks, Boleyn. Genetics Forum was active before the web became popular, but should not be invisibilised because of this. Their newsletter is archived in the British Library. GF's work has been widely cited (e.g. Irwin, Alan (2001) “Constructing the scientific citizen: science and democracy in the biosciences”, Public Understanding of Science 10(1). 1-18) and received a national award jointly with Tom Wakeford in 1998 - [1]). I don't have the skills to add the first reference - perhaps you could be so kind?
