Whatever the provocation[edit]

... this is not appropriate. An AIV report (which I see you also did) is the right response. Cheers, JohnCD (talk) 22:18, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

Hello John, you are right. Wasn't my best edit. Lesson learned. See you.--Ben Ben (talk) 22:45, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion converted to PROD: Lunatic Ramblings[edit]

Hello Ben Ben. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on Lunatic Ramblings to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 01:35, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

  • Hello Malik, thanks for the note and for prodding it. You have done it right, it is no longer a G3 in the current version. Also I have deleted a link to a potentially illegal download source from the article. --Ben Ben (talk) 19:10, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

Eltraf[edit]

Dear Ben Ben, you have deleted the page Eltraf. I kindly ask you to cancel that deletion. The page was created for the purposes of company's participation in the projects financed from public money by the European Union. The company took part in a pan european project of Smart Grids and now enters the phase of evaluation by people, companies and state bodies. It is highly important to start company's page on wikipedia that can be edited (positively as well as negatively) by anyone interested in the pan european project of the EU. Thank you for understanding.

Stiki[edit]

Ben, Thanks for reverting the edit. Reviewing the edit I see you are correct. Thanks! Capitalismojo (talk) 23:23, 6 July 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: DarkSoul[edit]

Hello Ben Ben. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of DarkSoul, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A7 is for "real" people and animals. Try WP:PROD instead. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 15:10, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

dab_use_disambig[edit]

Hi, I saw you tried to edit WPCleaner configuration for dab_use_disambig parameter with a message for me in your edit summary.

The value for it should be true or false, depending on whether disambiguation pages on enwiki have the "disambiguation" property set or not (through the __DISAMBIG__ magic word). If this property is set, it's better to not configure dab_use_disambig (WPCleaner will use the property when I've managed to release the next version). If it's not set, then it should be configured to false.

--NicoV (Talk on frwiki) 15:17, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for the quick answer. I'm not an expert in DAB, have only seen your message when I started WPCleaner today (after a few weeks of not using it). --Ben Ben (talk) 15:27, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
Ok, I've changed the configuration assuming the Disambiguator extension has been fully setup on enwiki. If you think the message is not clear enough, do you have a suggestion ? --NicoV (Talk on frwiki) 16:31, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
Hm..., you want a suggestion from a layperson? O.K., you asked - please don't laugh:
  • You can check if __DISAMBIG__ is used on your wiki with typing in Special:Version in your search field. In the version page, search for Disambiguator.
  • If __DISAMBIG__ is not used on your wiki, you should add dab_use_disambig=false END to your WikiCleanerConfiguration.
should be clearer for common people like me. Did I get it right, if the magic word is used, no parameter is required? --Ben Ben (talk) 17:07, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
Thanks a lot ! Yes, if the magic word is used, there's no need to do anything.
Checking is a bit more complex than just checking if the extension is set up, is the following message clear ?
An action may be required on your wiki before this release:
  • You can check if __DISAMBIG__ is used on your wiki by opening an existing disambiguation page. Then, click on "Page information" in the menu on the left. Finally, search for __DISAMBIG__ in the information page.
  • If __DISAMBIG__ is not used on your wiki, you should add dab_use_disambig=false END to your wiki WikiCleanerConfiguration.
--NicoV (Talk on frwiki) 21:46, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
Hi, I would add like Smith to by opening an existing disambiguation page. I'm quite sure this is a DAB page or has a DAB template on top in every wiki. Additionally, you have to link WikiCleanerConfiguration. Would work for me. --Ben Ben (talk) 22:33, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
Thanks ! I've released the new version of WPCleaner which uses __DISAMBIG__, so I've changed a little the message. Should speed up loading pages for full analysis :-) --NicoV (Talk on frwiki) 18:46, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Hello! Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Office Bistro[edit]

Hello! I can't be on Wikipedia all the time, so sometimes it takes me a while to respond to comments, but I just happened to notice that you left a comment that some might take as a personal attack. You imply that I was "cheating" at some point. [personal information redacted] Should I have had to explain all that though? I wish you would have just WP:AGF, raising your concerns politely on my talk page rather than boldly flinging accusations. I am not chef at the restaurant, or in some other way part of a nefarious conspiracy to defraud you - I just saw a need and worked hard to fill it with this article. I will accept the outcome of the AfD, but I hope you will redact your unpleasant comment. Take care, —John Stenson 22:41, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

Also, as to the content, there were three reliable sources in the article when I posted it. More are coming, but it has been less than a day since you quickly posted an AfD. I think I have a good understanding of the notability requirements, but if I am wrong then that is not a problem. Either way, try to imagine if I were a new editor, how your strong language might inadvertently cause me to stop working on Wikipedia totally. I know you are trying to prevent "spam", but we have to be pleasant and helpful as well. —John Stenson 22:43, 28 July 2013 (UTC)
Wrote an answer to this on the AfD page, to prevent the discussion getting disrupted [1]. --Ben Ben (talk) 23:46, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

Response to MasterPlan (Christian Band) tag for speedy deletion[edit]

Buddy - saw that you had filed MasterPlan (Christian Band) for deletion. There are very few Catholic Christian Bands in the world and it is important the existence of the Band is public knowledge. MasterPlan has many firsts to its credit. Apart from World Youth Day Rio 2013, (which was attended by over 3.5 million people), MasterPlan also hails from Dubai - which is quite an odd place for a Christian Band to exist (Dubai is intrinsically an Islamic Land, and there is restricted Religious Freedom). Social Media and online presence is how the word gets around. MasterPlan is commissioned for touring Middle East and Europe next year, and proposal is underway to perform at Jerusalem as well. MasterPlan belongs to the St Mary's Church parish - which is the largest Catholic Parish in the world. Requesting you to withdraw your tag. Thanks.

PS: On the subject talk page, I have included many news articles to MasterPlan. Please have a look.

Hello, please read WP:BAND. There is listed under witch criteria a band is considered notable on wikipedia. Thanks --Ben Ben (talk) 09:33, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

Rally North America[edit]

Thank you for reviewing my article.. I have made the changes you sighted and for some reason can't get my references to stick. Any help on that would be great.

That is how I have listed one and the News papers/TV reports I listed also but a bot took them out. ????

PROD objection[edit]

This is a courtesy notice that I objected to your proposed deletion of Tor Johannes Helleland hacking incident in case you would like to take the article to AfD. Seraphimblade Talk to me 20:45, 14 August 2013 (UTC)

Hi, you are right, therefore took it to AfD: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tor Johannes Helleland hacking incident. --Ben Ben (talk) 23:46, 14 August 2013 (UTC)

Al Ain handball club[edit]

Hello I'd like to know how come is "Al Ain Handball club" is a company!! its a sport team plays handball, you deleted the article under the reason of its a company! please return the article or provide me with the source to create the page again. You can find this team in uae handball federation website: http://www.uaehandball.com/ar/page-showonepage-reg.aspx thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ch.mohd (talkcontribs) 06:56, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

PROD Regarding Cardas (World of Warcraft)[edit]

I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Cardas (World of Warcraft), which you proposed for deletion. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks!

Personally, I think the page is a candidate for a merge into some type of WoW character list page, but that's just me. ShawnIsHere: Now in colors 11:19, 3 October 2013 (UTC)

October 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Dorothea Nicolai may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 09:50, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

Pace Tower[edit]

  • No way
  • If you can not add any information don't add. But you must not delete any information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mohsin17 (talkcontribs) 10:52, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
  • Reverted you again, [2] and [3] . Your are straight going into a block if your are continuing this. Cite a reliable source for the hight of the building and for the completion year. Stating that it is going to be completed in 2014 and, at the same time, listening it under 'Complete Buildings' is more than strange. In List of tallest buildings in Lahore, Pace Tower is in the section ' Under construction buildings' with a source for a hight of 76 m. Bring a source for your 88 m. --Ben Ben (talk) 18:53, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
  • I already told you that it is topped out...and our company has measured its length...unfortunately, middle class companies do not have the internet service and websites in third world countries. If you want the proof, check it on Google maps and from google earyth u can see the height — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mohsin17 (talkcontribs) 14:47, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

BigMexican[edit]

how did I vandalize the Lockhart Texas page if what I put on there is accurate and factual information, BigMexican is a notable person from that town and anyone from that town will agree with me. Just because BigMex is a rapper/hip hop artist does that not make him a note able person? He won the 2012 Song of the Year award from 88.7fm KAZI out of Austin,TX — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thebigmeskin (talkcontribs) 21:57, 21 November 2013 (UTC+1)

Hi, I am sorry for giving you a 'last warning' on your talk page. This was my fault. Saw you editing around User:DATBOIRIVA and misinterpreted it as a 'boy gang edit drive' on Lockhart, Texas. I deleted my edit from your talk page. For, what is notable or not on Wikipedia, there is a guideline: Wikipedia:Notability (music). --Ben Ben (talk) 21:46, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
So since you miss interpreted my post on the Lockhart Texas page, does that mean I am allowed to repost my original edit to the Lockhart Texas page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thebigmeskin (talkcontribs) 03:43, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
I am not the doorkeeper of Wikipedia, I'm just an editor as you are. Sure you are allowed to insert this information about your local musician, the same way as anybody else (including me) is allowed to delete it. I would delete it again, as long as you can't show this musican is notable (<- click this blue word and read). This is how Wikipedia works. --Ben Ben (talk) 10:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

Sorry for the following template, but I declined your speedy deletion[edit]

Proposed deletion of Solomon's Temple BBS[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Solomon's Temple BBS has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Speedy deletion declined, but this article does not give any inkling why this particular BBS is notable, and the New York Times reference does not mention this. Creator has 7 days to fix the issues tagged.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
