I undid your cut n paste move[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Edemar Antônio Picoli a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Picoli. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 22:25, 28 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

2016 Wikimedia Foundation Executive Director Search Community Survey[edit]

The Board of Trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation has appointed a committee to lead the search for the foundation’s next Executive Director. One of our first tasks is to write the job description of the executive director position, and we are asking for input from the Wikimedia community. Please take a few minutes and complete this survey to help us better understand community and staff expectations for the Wikimedia Foundation Executive Director.

Bateria[edit]

I'm an American trying to improve some of your translations into English. What is a "bateria" at a Rio de Janeiro carnival? This template links to Ricardo Lopes, which is a DAB page. Is this Ricardo Lopes (footballer, born 1968), or is it someone else? I can't find anything either by googling or in English or Portuguese Wikis which suggests that he was ever a manager. Narky Blert (talk) 11:01, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As you have continued to edit Wikipedia but have not addressed the issue or responded to my message, I have moved it to Draft:2018 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Please work on it there, and when it has clear references, re-submit it via WP:AFC. Same for Draft:2018 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C and Draft:Campeonato Carioca Third Division. Please also be aware that WP:Communication is required. It is not only polite to respond to messages, but it is essential when editors have repeatedly tried to contact you on the same issue: your lack of clear sources. Please respond to this message. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 10:12, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You have moved an unreferenced article from draftspace back to the main. Is that because you are in the process of adding sources right now? Again, I point out that references are necessary and that WP:Communication is required, not simply polite. Please respond to this message. You do not ever seem to have responded to another editor contacting you and that isn't acceptable on Wikipedia. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 16:20, 25 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for adding the sources, it makes all the difference. It seems the sources were added by another editor. I have now reviewed the articles, which means they can be indexed by search engines now. I would still encourage you to look at WP:V and WP:Communication is required. Speedy deletion nomination of Results of the 2018 Rio Carnival[edit]

Hello Biantez,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Results of the 2018 Rio Carnival for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. Take a look at our suggestions for essential content in short articles to learn what should be included.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Marcelo Ramos (footballer, born 1973), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Copa Rio (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

All articles need sources; can you please add your sources to Sport Club do Recife? This has an empty references section. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Renata Lo Prete requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". A tag has been placed on Zileide Silva requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay.
