Proposed deletion of Police Stations in New South Wales[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Police Stations in New South Wales has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced article that fails to credibly assert notability of the subject. Article is essentially an image farm, which breaches WP:NOTGALLERY

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ISO 4217[edit]

Hi Bidgee,

You reverted a change on the CSIRO site with a reference to ISO 4217 (diff). The previous edit changed the A$ to AU$. If we use the convention of ISO 4217 should we not use the AUD (and USD) annotation?

Cheers. --Rwos (talk) 13:39, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

AUD shouldn't be used when stating a figure, the short (symbol) term is "A$". We had a big discussion over the use of AU$, A$ and AUD a few years ago but can't find it ATM. Also see Wikipedia:WikiProject Australia/Conventions#Currency. Bidgee (talk) 14:20, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
Got it! That last link clarifies it well. Ta --Rwos (talk) 17:34, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

Hooded Dotterel[edit]

I think that's a good candidate for WP:MR. The don't-move rationales were all WP:ADVOCACY and not based in policy. The only policy-based rationale and evidence were what you provided.  — SMcCandlish ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ʌ≼  21:02, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

I'm not wasting any more of my time on the issue, no matter how wrong I think it was. Bidgee (talk) 01:06, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

Hotel Canberra[edit]

I'm not sure why you undid my revision of the Hotel Canberra page. The hotel has not had that name for over 25 years. I did not change the location of the page itself, I just adjusted the text to reflect the current situation. Jamesluckard IMG (talk) 17:25, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

Its historic name is Hotel Canberra and commercial name is Hyatt Hotel Canberra. You totally removed all reference to its historic name. Bidgee (talk) 01:04, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

Shine Dome[edit]

Is it really a requirement the entire Dome is shown? It's not the Sydney Opera House of Australian architecture nor is it that recognisable to those outside of Canberra, thus the entire dome itself isn't really crucial illustration. Plus, the picture of its intriguing architectural detail is more fascinating and not really the standard image fare.Ashton 29 (talk) 03:37, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
