Thanks for the dilegence improving typographical subjects. Gill Sans in particular is much more coherent. Being a fan of open source/public domain typefaces, I appreciate your related content. Cpoakes (talk) 12:22, 30 September 2014 (UTC)

An article that you have been involved in editing, Yesterday, When I Was Mad, has been proposed for having another article merged into it. If you are interested, please participate in the merger discussion. Thank you. thomas.hori (talk) 23:43, 16 January 2015 (UTC)

Canada goose[edit]

I reverted your good faith edit since it had no reference and seemed purely speculative. There is no obvious reason why your guess should be correct, and at least a couple of good reasons why it might not be. If you have a proper source such as an academic journal for your addition, then you should make sure that you give it. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 17:01, 1 February 2015 (UTC)

Just to follow up,

  • the urge to migrate for most migratory species is instinctive and genetic and does not depend on prior experience. The juveniles of most species migrate on their own without the adults, and by definition cannot be following routes they have done before. With many waders, the adults have departed weeks before the young leave. Geese are unusual in that families often do migrate together
  • the environmental conditions are very different in the UK from North America. A goose in northern Canada will die if it doesn't migrate, British winters are soft in comparison. The European robin is strongly migratory in Scandinavia, but resident in the UK, for the same reason, with migratory experience irrelevant. It's the necessity to move that drives them
  • As the article says, introduced Scandinavian Canada geese do migrate to more moderate climes, and some NAM birds have become resident where conditions have become easier

I'm sorry about the tone above, but you did seem just to be ignoring me. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:35, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

Your edit to London and North Western Railway[edit]

Hello, I've reverted you edits to London and North Western Railway because, while they've probably have been done in good faith, you've not cited any references so what you've written may be original research/Original Thought, which as per policy isn't appropriate for Wikipedia. Thanks. Rehnn83 Talk 16:30, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for May 3[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Gill Sans, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Futura (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
