Hi Bob. I've replied on my talkpage.Pyrotec (talk) 21:48, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Its possible that it is not "Llanhiddel", but it could be Llanhilleth. See my talkpage.Pyrotec (talk) 18:38, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Images of Bridgwater and Taunton Canal

Hi, I've put a link & instructions for Images of Bridgwater and Taunton Canal on the talk page. If you have any problems with loading them to commons etc, if you'd like to select some & let me know which I can help. I think the work you've been doing on the article is great & if there is anything I can do to help to get it up to GA let me know.— Rod talk 20:21, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi Rod, I'm a bit busy at the moment, but the images ST2936 (shored up cutting), ST3025 (Swing Bridge) and ST2325 (Firepool lock) look good. I also wondered about ST2826 (Pillbox and engine house), as all of these feature items specifically mentioned in the text. I have not got round to looking at the restoration section yet, but am hoping to do so soon. Bob1960evens (talk) 20:32, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Added to the article - feel free to remove or reposition as you see fit.— Rod talk 20:56, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Bridgwater and Taunton Canal & going for GA

First can I say I think you've done great things with Bridgwater and Taunton Canal. Anyone can nominate it for GA but there a few things which might help. Check out Wikipedia:Good article criteria & check that you think it meets the criteria. It is also helpful to get other peoples eyes on it by discussing the proposal on the articles talk page. You can also announce it or ask for help on relevant projects, in this case: Somerset, Uk Waterways & UK GEO (on UKGEO this is normally via UK Geo announcements) - It helps to get people who haven't edited it to review the article. Once you are happy follow the instructions under "How to nominate an article" at Wikipedia:Good article nominations & then after a few days/weeks a reviewer will look at the article & pass or fail it. Most commonly they leave comments which the article editors have 7 days to respond to before making a decision. I feel Bridgwater and Taunton Canal is pretty much at GA level but you never know what the reviewers will come up with - I would say go for it as soon as you are ready.— Rod talk 19:20, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Congratulations it has now passed GA.— Rod talk 10:39, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

River Colne

Hi again - if ever you are looking for something to illustrate with one of your splendid maps, you may be interested in the River Colne, Hertfordshire which is a fairly unfathomable spider's web of watercourses. Regards Motmit (talk) 18:57, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I will take a look at it soon, and see if I can help. Bob1960evens (talk) 19:19, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
First draft produced and added to page. Bob1960evens (talk) 10:36, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for that. The stream you could not identify must be the Longford river, which goes into a culvert under part of the airport and runs alongside the D of N river (in separate gullies) round the south of the airport until they diverge south of Hatton. (OS Explorer 160) Regards Motmit (talk) 13:02, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
Thanks again - a great piece of work. As you say it is pretty complicated and I daren't suggest adding the reservoirs and Staines Reservoirs Aqueduct! I have started writing up some of the branches. Regards Motmit (talk) 17:08, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

Congratulations for the GA success: your work on the piece was impressive. --Old Moonraker (talk) 08:38, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
