Cornish ethnicity in census[edit]

Hi. I reverted your addition of a figure for the number of people who specified Cornish as their ethnicity in the census because the reference provided didn't support it. It said that 34,000 people in Cornwall wrote in Cornish as their ethnicity, but didn't say anything about a total of 37,500 people in the UK doing so. I have added the reference to the Cornish people article because it's handy to have there. Looking at that article also reveals that the 37,500 figure came from a conference paper on the LSE website, but the link is now dead. I'm going to have a go at tracking that source down. Cordless Larry (talk) 07:47, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

OK, found it. The LSE have reorganised their website so the link broke. I'll add the reference to the article. Cordless Larry (talk) 07:49, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Enys family[edit]

Thanks for your comment on my draft for an article. I have now published it as Enys family of Enys in Cornwall. You are welcome to edit it further and add material about the sale of the library. Vernon White . . . Talk 16:41, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

November 2010[edit]

Information.svg Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Camborne. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Trafford09 (talk) 18:55, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Non-free images and infobox of Cornish Australian[edit]

I've undone your re-addition of non-free images to the infobox of this article. Per WP:NFG the use of non-free images in a gallery or table format is generally discouraged. There is no imperative that we must use non-free images in order to depict Cornish Australians. This isn't an issue of adding a non-free rationale for the images. No rationale can be written, much less one that is a direct copy of another, to validate this use. If you believe this sort of use should be permitted, you can take the case up at WT:NFC. If you have questions, ask. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 11:45, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Parsons[edit]

Thanks for helping with the Herbert Angas Parsons page, I felt that it was long overdue for him and his father to get articles.Bodrugan (talk) 15:28, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

No worries. Anybody who "spent many hours at the Adelaide Club, preferring its convivial atmosphere to his wife's Methodism" can't be all bad ... Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 01:46, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Break from wikipedia[edit]

I have decided to take a break from editing wikipedia for a while. I have devoted far too much time to it, particularly as a result of certain knee-jerk deletion proposals by some other editors Govynn (talk) 12:29, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

Cornish corporate heraldry[edit]

Hi, I thought you might like to know about the Cornish corporate heraldry article, started earlier this month, as it seems there are quite a few similarities with the content of your sandbox (which looks good content!). You may wish to merge your content in, or expand this article. Hope you find this of interest! Cheers, Zangar (talk) 12:47, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

Bodrugan seems to have gone away. Agree that his sandbox article on Cornish heraldry was good, for which reason I have pasted it to mainspace as Cornish heraldry. See my message to Bodrugan below informing him of my action.(Lobsterthermidor (talk) 07:41, 28 May 2013 (UTC))

Cornish heraldry[edit]

As it seems you are no longer active on WP, it seemed a shame to leave your useful sandbox article on Cornish heraldry unpublished. I have therefore taken the liberty of pasting it as a new article Cornish heraldry. Hope that's OK. (Lobsterthermidor (talk) 07:44, 28 May 2013 (UTC))

Cornwall is not a country[edit]

PLease don't add Cornwall topics in templates that are ordered per country. England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are accepted, but Cornwall isn't (just like other regions like Flanders or Wallonia aren't). Fram (talk) 07:59, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

December 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to List of Cornish dialect words may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • which large stones are broken (mining term, from [[Cornish language]] ''anwen, ''meaning 'anvil'))<ref name="James, Gwennap" />
