info box for Derrick Spiva[edit]

Hello, I am wondering what the info box colors signify for musicians- I see you keep on changing the box for the article Derrick Spiva, trying to pick the most appropriate categorization. Right now he is listed as "non-vocal instrumentalist" but he actually does also sing and rap at times, so I am not sure if that is the best categorization. Is there a list somewhere of all the possible listings for musicians that I could look at and try to see which would fit best? If so please let me know.

Thank you for helping with new article[edit]

Bonnie13J, thank you for your assistance in improving the brand new article on the garage rock band, Evil. You have made the site look a lot better. Garagepunk66 (talk) 05:28, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

Help me with info box and shorter name for article[edit]

I added a couple of names to the info box of the article, Evil (garage rock band from Miami). I tried to use the nomenclature you used to set it up, but I couldn't get it to work properly. So, I ended up chagning way it was done--I think that I messed it up. I ended up having to use bullets to keep the names on seperate lines. I really liked the way you did it better. Is there a way you could return it to your method, but with the two new names I added?

Also, I think that I may have made the title of the article too wordy and long. Could you can help me shorten the title of the article to:

Evil (Miami garage band)
Evil (Miami band)

Whichever one you think sounds best. Garagepunk66 (talk) 06:23, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

Also: I created an article about The Grodes. I was wondering if you could see if there are any format improvements that could be made there. Thanks. Garagepunk66 (talk) 06:29, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

Thank you so much, once again, Bonnie13J for your improvements on both of these sites--they now look terriffic! Your improved title of the site on the band, Evil is perfect! Garagepunk66 (talk) 03:52, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello Bonnie13J,

I saw HERE that you renamed Kalevala (Russian band) to Kalevala (band). The reason: No other bands named Kalevala so no need for nationality disambiguation. Well, I'm afraid that your research wasn't complete. I knew that there are other bands with the same name:

  • There's a Macedonian band: see HERE and HERE.
  • And there has been a progressive rock band in Finland with the same name, too. See HERE and HERE.

That's why I chose for the addition of the adjective 'Russian' so that the article didn't have to be renamed if someone might want to write an article about the Macedonian or the Finnish band.
I'm sorry that I didn't documentate about the two other Kalevalas. I have now added them to the disambiguation page so that everyone can see that there are (have been) three bands with that name. Erik Wannee (talk) 07:32, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

You beat me to it![edit]

I was just figuring out how to get that facebook category deleted when you saved me the work! John of Cromer in Philippines (talk) mytime= Mon 09:20, wikitime= 01:20, 18 March 2013 (UTC)

I removed the plainlist template you added, since it does nothing in this context. everything else looks fine. Frietjes (talk) 22:07, 25 March 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for that - I hadn't noticed that the infobox template had changed so that was no longer necessary. Bonnie13J (talk) 22:14, 25 March 2013 (UTC)

Greetings & thanks[edit]

Greetings Bonnie13J. Thanks for the infobox over at Arthur Edgehill. Cheers! --Technopat (talk) 23:20, 27 April 2013 (UTC)

Annette Dasch[edit]

Thank you for adding an infobox! Consider to use {{infobox person}}, because "musical artist" is not really made for operatic singers. What would this "background" parameter add? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:50, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

Similar case: Amadio Freddi. Try the infobox suggested above, discarding parameters that are not needed, keeping it simple: name, data of birth and death, more only if helpful to understand the person at a glance. There are models, such as Philipp Glass and Peter Planyavsky. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:07, 22 March 2014 (UTC)

The Dangerous Crew[edit]

Hi Bonnie13J. I noticed that you were the last person to edit The Dangerous Crew so I thought I would let you know about the edits I made. I have added 1 album (which peaked at 83 on the charts), created a table, and redirected Rappin' Ron and Bad-N-Fluenz to the article. This may require some cleanup but I'm not sure; I just thought I'd let you know. Thanks Ben0kto (talk) 23:36, 2 November 2013 (UTC)

Pedro Knight[edit]

Hi. Perhaps this is an aspect of the musical artist Infobox that I'm not familiar with, but what is the purpose of the underscores you've added to the Pedro Knight Infobox? That parameter/value doesn't show up in the saved article. Does it have some other function? Nightscream (talk) 04:13, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Ohhhhhhh. Okay, thanks. :-) Nightscream (talk) 04:33, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

David Pomeroy[edit]

Hello Bonnie:

Will you please help me fix the deficiencies in David Pomeroy's Wiki page? I am new to this and I want to learn as much as I can and your guidance would be appreciated. Your comments include two suggestions, unfortunately I am not sure as to how to fix the problems. I live in Toronto, Canada

Edit summaries[edit]

Hi! Do you think you could leave an edit summary when you make an edit? It would often help others to know what you have done. If you are inclined to forget, you can check "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" in the Editing tab of your user preferences. Thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 17:48, 19 January 2014 (UTC)

Will do. Sorry about that.Bonnie (talk) 23:29, 19 January 2014 (UTC)

Help with in-line citation formatting[edit]

HI there, I was just wondering if I could have some help as to why you left the message about in-line citations at the top of the page? Can I get some help with that? How do I go about correctly formatting them? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SiobhanEnright (talkcontribs) 01:44, 10 February 2014 (UTC)

Soliciting comment...[edit]

Hi! Would you care to review or comment at my FA nomination for the article Misterioso (Thelonious Monk album)? It is a short article about a jazz album. Information on reviewing an FA nomination's criteria is available at WP:FACR. If not, feel free to ignore this message. Cheers! Dan56 (talk) 01:52, 15 March 2014 (UTC)

updated infobox
Thank you, Bonnie, for your tireless effort to add and update infoboxes, improving the quality of articles, starting with your own, and for knowing with engineering precision "that even if 300,000,000 people make the same mistake, it's still a mistake", - you are an awesome Wikipedian!

Thanks for your info box edits on Deep Listening Band! I just added citations to reliable sources and inline citations. Also removed the 'ref improve' and 'no footnotes' boxes. Please review. My plan is to add a well researched and referenced section "Musical Style & Approach" as well as a band photo next week and then remove the 'stub' classification. Assistance and suggestions always welcome! Best regards, Human 23:51, 31 May 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hubertus Maria (talkcontribs)

New article on band the Creatures[edit]

I was wondering if you could help me. I have just created a new article on the 60s band, The Creatures (Australian band). Perhaps you could help me with some of the formatting. The article is in a state of infancy, so you may wish to follow up on it later, as I add more information. You have a green thumb for things like this--it is an area that I am not strong. Thanks, as allways. Garagepunk66 (talk) 06:19, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
