Disambiguation link notification for May 20[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kokrajhar (Lok Sabha constituency), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Independent (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, could you please have a look at Talk:Results of the Indian general election, 2014#"Seats won" for the A&N Isles do not make sense? It relates to some ambiguous material in the article, and based on your past contributions to the article, I think that your input would be very valuable to the discussion. --Joshua Issac (talk) 12:47, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lok sabha constituencies[edit]

I have noticed your edits to the Lok sabha constituency pages. If you think that there should be a list of Lok sabha members on these pages please create them separately, without disturbing the past results on these pages. You are replacing the old sub-headings with new ones that are confusing and incomplete. Please don't disturb the past results. Cheers. - Chandan Guha (talk) 11:18, 21 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Mukul rohtagi.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Mukul rohtagi.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 12:11, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Images deleted[edit]

Hi there. I've just deleted File:Mukul Rohatgi.jpg. Please note that images found on websites are not public domain but are instead copyrighted. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Bhuj(Vidhan Sabha constituency), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.indiastudychannel.com/India/assemblies/2076-Bhuj-Assembly-Constituency.aspx.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. Speedy deletion nomination of Bhuj(Vidhan Sabha constituency)[edit]

Hello CAKrutesh,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Bhuj(Vidhan Sabha constituency) for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. OccultZone (Talk) 07:47, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bhiloda (Vidhan Sabha constituency) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.indiastudychannel.com/india/assemblies/1426-Bhiloda-ST-Assembly-Constituency.aspx. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. New articles[edit]

Hello CA Krutest. Thanks for creating all the new articles on Vidhan Sabha constituencies. Could I ask that you tag the talk pages with {{WikiProject Elections and Referendums}} when you start the article?

A few other tips:

  1. The first word(s) of an article should generally be in bold text
  2. Foreign language transliterations should be made using the language templates (e.g. {{lang-gu}} for Gujarati)
  3. References should not be left as bare urls - they need to be formatted to appear legibly in the references section
  4. References in text should go at the end of the sentence, not at the start
  5. Section headings should be written in sentence case, not all capitals (for example, on Nandod (Vidhan Sabha constituency), they should be "Total number of voters" "Election results" instead of "Total Number of Voters" and "Election Results")
  6. In tables, numbers should be right-aligned and text should be left-aligned. You can set up a table to be aligned to one side or the other, and then code in certain cells to go the other way.
  7. To create numbered lists, use the #
  8. Numbers should be formatted using commas (e.g. 2,000,000 not 2000000)
  9. References for tables should be included in a new bottom row of the table as a text link.
  10. The "See also" section goes before "References"
  11. "See also" links should be formatted using bullet points

To see how to do all this, I have made all these changes in this edit.

Also, I noticed on the Nandod (Vidhan Sabha constituency) article that you had a section about total voters, but used figures from the 2014 general election - does it not make more sense to use the 2012 Gujarat Legislative Assembly election data (as this is a GLA constituency)? I have also made that change to the article.

If you have any questions, just ask. Cheers, Number 57 21:30, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have noted suggestions given by you. However, I have completed writing articles for this topic. So it will take time for improvement. You may help me to improve it. Further, please donot delete total vote list of 2014 because it is also relevant data. You may additionally add data of 2012. CAKrutesh (talk) 12:29, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Meenaxiben Patel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Disambiguation link notification for November 5[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kalol (Vidhan Sabha Constituency), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kalol. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article Leader of Opposition in Gujarat Vidhansabha has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello CAKrutesh, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Indian integration of Hyderabad has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. The Masked Man of Mega Might (talk) 16:29, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Admin interventions[edit]

Registered Users:

Above user is closely being watched by an admin already who is not online at the moment. His previous edits have all been removed because he is adding blogs and primary sources to push his pov. I have explained everything on the article talk page he refuses to engage on discussing and just relentlessly adds obvious pov to the said article. 2A02:C7D:14FC:C600:D5AA:E7F2:540C:E498 (talk) 09:25, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

May 2016[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Hyderabad State shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Kautilya3 (talk) 09:30, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I notice that you have already done way more than 3 reverts today. Even a single revert from you from now on, without achieving consensus on the talk page, will be grounds for a block. Please be warned. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 09:33, 31 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
