RE: Preston Brooks edit and its summary "I fail to see anything that would lead to the inclusion of Preston Brooks in this article"...[edit]

...other than the fact that they're both of South Carolina and both had outbursts on the national scene of American politics that made them famous the world over? There is nothing POV about that, so I'm putting it back in.RatdePatinoire (talk) 00:56, 14 March 2014 (UTC)

That their actions were similar enough in comparison to everything else that has earned official Congressional opprobrium to warrant a unique link in a See Also section certainly is POV. I could easily see a link to an article that lists the actions all Congressmen have been disciplined for, but Brooks and Wilson are too disparate in action, time, and place to warrant a link that suggests there was a special similarity between the two in comparison to all other Congressmen so disciplined. (Yes, they are both from South Carolina, but they represented different districts both numerically and geographically.) I see someone else agrees with me concerning the worth of including such a link, so I don't need to revert your change myself. Carolina wren (talk) 02:59, 14 March 2014 (UTC)
