Disambiguation link notification for August 23[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of E-Grade expressways in Sri Lanka, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Matara (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion[edit]

Please don't delete the contents of an article and then ask for it to be speedily deleted because it's empty. Instead, use one of the acceptable WP:criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 15:27, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

Ratmalana Airport[edit]

Here in Wikipedia we use the common name for naming articles. We don't use official names. And we certainly don't use what Chamath237/Jpchamathdj want. You need to establish the common name before renaming the article. I have started a discussion here.--obi2canibetalk contr 13:01, 1 December 2013 (UTC)

P.S. If you want to revert someone else's edits be man enough to do it while you are logged in. Don't log out and use anonymous IP addresses to revert as you did with 175.157.2.168 (talk · contribs · WHOIS); 175.157.17.216 (talk · contribs · WHOIS); 175.157.35.153 (talk · contribs · WHOIS); 175.157.68.128 (talk · contribs · WHOIS); 175.157.49.38 (talk · contribs · WHOIS); 175.157.113.113 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) etc. And for God's sake provide an edit summary for your edits - you and your alter egos have been editing on Wikipedia long enough to know how it works.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:SupremeSAT logo.png[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:SupremeSAT logo.png, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Already same file is in use. See file:SupremeSAT.jpg

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Anton·٠•●♥Talk♥●•٠· 02:34, 21 December 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:SupremeSAT logo.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:SupremeSAT logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 02:50, 21 December 2013 (UTC)

Free License[edit]

File permission problem with File:Nadra.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Nadra.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:30, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of PEO TV[edit]

Hello Chamath237,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged PEO TV for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Acalycine talk 05:15, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

Move to "Southern Expressway (Australia)"‎[edit]

That really was an astoundingly bad choice of name - equivalent to renaming it to "Southern Expressway (America)" and/or "Southern Expressway (Europe)" - i.e. You haven't addressed, much less solved, the problem you say you were intending to address.
For your information, an appropriate name would be "Southern Expressway (Adelaide)" - but I'm unable to make that change. Pdfpdf (talk) 12:53, 9 July 2014 (UTC)‎

Speedy deletion of "PEO TV"[edit]

A page you created, PEO TV, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how it is important or significant, and thus why it should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for companies in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.
