Regarding your addition to Afro[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to add new content, but your recent additions do not assert the notability of their subjects and have been reverted or removed. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 20:58, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please be reminded that the Wikipedia is not a place for self promotion or for autobiographical essays. Your work trying to link yourself and the superhero you created are not an appropriate topic for an encyclopedia KevinCuddeback (talk) 05:06, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of The Fro[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Fro requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Oore (talk) 04:45, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi, thanks for your interest in contributing to Wikipedia. Sorry for my delay in answering your question on my talk page. The answer is that neither The Fro nor Evil Ernie are proper subjects for an encyclopedia (I see both have been removed). Wikipedia has concepts like Notability and NPOV (which guide what should get in), and has policies against essays, autobiographies, original research and getting up on one's soapbox which say what Wikipedia is not. The Fro is certainly original, and makes a great web page (my personal POV was that I loved what I read), but it is just not a great encyclopedia page.KevinCuddeback (talk) 14:07, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I was offline for the past several days and just saw your comment on my talk page. Kevin seems to have addressed why your article was deleted and I recommend you read the links he provided. Another good read is the suggestions for writing your first article. Let me know if you have any further questions or if there's anything I can help you with. Cheers! -- Flyguy649 talk 15:14, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
