Gypsy[edit]

Hi.

Licensing[edit]

I uploaded the Image:The Problem with Wikipedia.png image and released it under the 2.5 license which you mentioned. The other image "WikiProtest" or something, I didn't upload, that was by Mike33. I presumed the license he uploaded the image under was correct, and so I assumed the same license information and details as it. I'm sorry if this causes any sort of confusion, but that is why the image GFDL may be incorrect. Thanks for your time. Onnaghar talk ! ctrb 18:42, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

I've left a comment on my talk page. I leave the image in your hands now. Thanks for correcting my German Wikipedia userpage aswell. :) (My German isn't all that good) Onnaghar talk ! ctrb 15:05, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject Germany Invitation[edit]

Flag of Germany.svg

Hello, Church of emacs! I'd like to call your attention to the WikiProject Germany and the German-speaking Wikipedians' notice board. I hope their links, sub-projects and discussions are interesting and even helpful to you. If not, I hope that new ones will be.

--Zeitgespenst (talk) 21:28, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! I'll take a look at it :-) --Church of emacs (Talk | Stalk) 09:38, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Intention[edit]

You left a comment about Abika test in the discussion section, did you intend to vote for the article's deletion at [1] ? 76.109.174.153 (talk) 09:25, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Oh, well, seems I am too late :) --Church of emacs (Talk | Stalk) 10:09, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Image:Philip-and-alex.jpg[edit]

I have reverted this back to the original upload- the larger resolution image was not released under the GFDL, only the smaller one. Perhaps you could contact the uploader and ask if they would be happy for the larger one to be used? J Milburn (talk) 13:15, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Well, I thought it was the same image, and therefor also licensed under the GFDL. But you are right, the larger version probably isn't necessarily licensed under the GFDL. I noticed that another user already asked the author but did not get a response. So feel free to delete my versions. Sorry for the inconvenience, --Church of emacs (Talk | Stalk) 13:58, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Family Guy: Shown in the Cinema, on November 23rd[edit]

Whenever an article is listed on AFD, please do not request an article for speedy deletion. Thanks. miranda 15:29, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Oh, ok. In the German Wikipedia we do that, when the RfD is clearly pro-delete. But if that's not the way it usually works here, I'll just wait until the RfD ends :) --Church of emacs (Talk | Stalk) 15:43, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
It's called AfD, articles for deletion. RfD is redirects for discussion. :-) miranda 19:07, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
D'oh! All those fancy abbreviations are confusing ;-) --Church of emacs (Talk | Stalk) 19:13, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Editor request[edit]

I guess there was some problem. I used the normal procedure by clicking "Submit query". Don't know what happened. Nevertheless, I created a new editor request manually and moved it there.-RavichandarMy coffee shop 12:52, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Yes, the inputbox is broken. Software error, I guess. --Church of emacs (Talk) 12:53, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
Hmmm, I too think so. Anyway, in case if an editor review may interest you, do feel free to express your comments in my review page :-). Thanks -RavichandarMy coffee shop 09:12, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Oh, I forgot to mention: I found the Bugreport, see bugzilla:16108. The bug is fixed, it just isn't live von Wikimedia Wikis yet. --Church of emacs (Talk) 13:57, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Superb service[edit]

Allaroundamazingbarnstar.png All Around Amazing Barnstar
I reported a bit of a glitch in Mediawiki, and within the hour, you'd implemented a fix [2]. That is extraordinary and exemplary service to the Wikipedian community, so I wanted to drop this note as a thank-you; service like this is greatly appreciated.  Chzz  ►  14:58, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
Wow! My first Barnstar! Thanks, guys :D --Church of emacs (Talk) 15:05, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Pending changes/Straw poll on interim usage[edit]

Hi. As you recently commented in the straw poll regarding the ongoing usage and trial of Pending changes, this is to notify you that there is an interim straw poll with regard to keeping the tool switched on or switching it off while improvements are worked on and due for release on November 9, 2010. This new poll is only in regard to this issue and sets no precedent for any future usage. Your input on this issue is greatly appreciated. Off2riorob (talk) 23:30, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

Wikimedia Stories Project[edit]

Hi,

Sorry I just came across your note on our discussion page, would you like to set up a time to have a call over Skype or telephone to have a short chat about what we will discuss in Haifa? We're going to have 45 minute time slots available to us at Wikimania, so scheduling will be key.

I look forward to seeing you in Haifa!

Victor

bug 15352[edit]

Hi, in bugzilla:15352 you have mentioned a hack to detect a username vs ip address. I've raised this as a IPv6 concern at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject IPv6 Readiness#user vs IP detection. John Vandenberg (chat) 23:35, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

Yes, that's a good idea, thanks. --Tobias (Talk) 11:24, 29 March 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for January 5[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Chaos Communication Congress, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sarah Harrison (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
