Mike Busbee[edit]

  • I was thinking this guys real name is Michael, so do you think the page should be moved to Michael Busbee? Or do you have a source that his real name is Mike? thnx Nowyouseeme | wanna chat? 13:21, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

Speaking of sources...again...busbee is professionally known as busbee not Michael Busbee. So his wiki page should not be title Michael Busbee or Mike Busbee for that matter. There are many examples of writer's and artist's pages that are not named after their real name, but rather their professional name...which again, is the reason anyone would be searching them on wikipedia to begin with. Thank you for your help. Cheers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4trak (talkcontribs) 22:08, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

Sweet and Wild[edit]

I can only figure that it charted from pre-orders or digital downloads. It's happened in the past with albums from Terri Clark and the Dixie Chicks, but usually closer to the official release date. Eric444 (talk) 04:45, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

Brother Clyde[edit]

Did you see that has a page now? And it's only Billy Ray. No more Jeffrey, John or Phil. Check out their MySpace page as well, which is located on the article page. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 22:32, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Yeah I know! I just finished reading it like 5 seconds ago. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 23:08, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
I could not agree with you more. I like "Lately" up until the rap verse. Even though I do like some rap, I'm not particularly a fan of that. I tried to find a possible snipet/leak of the song with Dolly, but was unable to locate one. I think it's funny that Billy Ray said that she "wanted to rock"...lol EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 14:51, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
Lol, so do I. It seems like its been forever since something new of his has been out, even though its been just over a year since Back to Tennessee came out. Have you seen him lately? He looks kinda gross...like he has a new sleeve of tattoos on his left arm. I saw pictures of him performing for the Nashville Flood Relief Benefit concert. And he's been wearing a stupid bandana! Who does he think he is? Bret Michaels?!? No, I love Bret, I can't talk bad about him. Lol EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 16:43, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
Ahaha, no kidding my brotha! Lol, I do admit, I'm curious to see how things will turn out and how the album will sound. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 17:12, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
Yeah so do I. I don't feel like it'll have any country influences until I actually hear the album from start to finish. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 17:26, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

Grown woman / Release dates[edit]

Per WP:NSONGS and the discussion on its talk page in the archives it was agreed that only purchase release dates belong in the infobox. if a song is never released for purchase then the infobox should say see radio adds. this is because radio is not a release format. Speedy deletion nomination of Stealing Angels[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on Stealing Angels requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. The World Is Ours Tonight[edit]

I added a couple more sources. I think this song's borderline, but since it appeared on the Team USA soundtrack first and was only a later addition to the Gloriana album, a redirect to either wouldn't make much sense — it's tied to both albums, so redirecting to just one is off. Also, my sources beefed it up a little closer to the length of their other single. Please, always discuss before just redirecting if the article's more than two sentences long — if it's super super short, then I could easily see just redirecting outright (for instance, While You're Still Young didn't even have a review from anyone). Kelly Rowland[edit]

Ok well according to the discission at: Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style (record charts)#Using Billboard Charts in Discog there is NO established format for putting Hot Dance Club Songs into the discography. However the chart is named as Dance Club Songs and no longer as Dance Club Play. Therefore I've changed DCP → DCS as a compromise. Changed to US Dac as this is acceptable per discussion at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style (record charts)#Using Billboard Charts in Discog. Unless you can show me where it says piped links can't be abbreviated there isn't an issue. Using the full word Dance breaches MOS:DISCOG as all columns are supposed to be of equal length. Regards, --Lil-unique1 (talk) 11:23, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Recorded songs / Kelly Rowland (album)[edit]

Also there is no need to have a list of recorded songs (which also happen to be the three singles) as this information is mentioned already in the prose and main article body. In fact their is a whole section on recording and production. It is an unecessary duplication of information. So per the guidelines, WP:ALBUMS and general common sense of not duplicating information which already exists please do not add a list of recorded songs. its simples. regards, --Lil-unique1 (talk) 16:49, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

I am not on a high hourse. WP:Other stuff exists clearly states that just because things appear in the other articles it doesn't make it correct. So unless the article your quote is a featured article or good article then argument holds no basis. The information is ALREADY listed in the recording section therefore what purpose does it serve to have a recorded tracks list? A track listing of course is allowed. The point of documenting recorded songs in the body of the article is that if they are not on the final track listing they still remain part of the information regarding the recording and production of the album. And actually like I've said before WP:ALBUMS clearly says avoid the use of lists. I want the article to be WP:GA/WP:FA but that won't happen with redundent lists which duplicate information. Do not cause an WP:edit war over this. Step back and actually think logically about what we're arguing about, then im sure it will make sense. And next time remember WP:good faith. Uncivilty is not tolerated by anyone on wikipedia. --Lil-unique1 (talk) 17:36, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Despite me pointing out that it was MOS:DISCOG which states that all columns etc. should be equal you've gone ahead and reverted anyway. I've had to file a report here because frankly I don't think it assuming WP:good faith or actually taking the information that's been provided. --Lil-unique1 (talk) 18:01, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Edit warring at Kelly Rowland discography[edit]

You seem to have broken the WP:3RR rule at WP:AN3#User:CloversMallRat reported by User:Lil-unique1 (Result: ). To avoid sanctions, you should respond at WP:AN3 and promise to stop edit warring on this article. 'Get off your high horse' is unlikely to lead to a quick solution, and your effort to be more diplomatic would be appreciated. EdJohnston (talk) 19:24, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Color[edit]

Can you change back the 2010 AC number 1's color too? I don't want to get warned for edit warring. The guy brought up this topic on Wikipedia_talk:Manual_of_Style_(record_charts)#Chart_lists Nowyouseemetalk2me 21:59, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. That's the exact same thing I said to that guy, it looks better with color and it's weird to be whining about something so trivial as a color, it isn't hurting anthing. Nowyouseemetalk2me 22:13, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
Oh, and I LOLd when I read your 'Get off your high horse' on that Lilunique guys talk page, thats funny xD Nowyouseemetalk2me 22:15, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
Glad you like it, I saw he reported you for edit warring, and I looked at the history of the page, and isn't he on the other end of it? I figured if you got warned then he should be warned too. Nowyouseemetalk2me 22:29, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Apology[edit]

In light of trying to resolve the situation I would like to say the following:

  1. I'm sorry I miquoted your name inadvertently as Cloversmolerat instead of CloversMallRat in a discussion with Nowyouseeme.
  2. If you are willing not to add the 'recorded songs' section to the Kelly Rowland (album), I think it is fair that your changed to her discography can remain. It's not a massive deal in light of the discussion that's taken place and I guess the other columns etc. could be modified so all align equally although its more work but in the interest of peace and calm if it resolves the situation it should be done.

What do you think? --Lil-unique1 (talk) 02:36, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

Rowland discography (positive this time lol)[edit]

Hey what do you think of the changes made? --Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:53, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

Thank you. Tbh I never really liked Rowland that much. Her songs we always ok. But everything about her new album and new singles have made me completely fall in love with her lol. Proppa stan now! I do like Michelle too and well Beyoncé I don't really care for that much. I'd like to see her sign to a new label and do some more R&B-Dance music. I really enjoyed her album Unexpected. No I think Alicia Keys is my favourite female. I saw her live in London few months ago. She was aces. Wbu? Who's your fav. --Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:59, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
I quite liked Shaniah Twain's earlier stuff though I know a lot people classify her as country-pop. I also like Lady Antabellum and I heard a few Martina McBride tracks the other day. --Lil-unique1 (talk) 00:07, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

I don't listen to my car radio that often...mostly CDs. But I do listen to Sirius radio in my room a lot and that's where I've heard it. See, I never think about listening to it like on YouTube or whatever. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 00:00, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Albums & EPs[edit]

I have an idea of merging the album section and the EP section into one. Reasons are:

  1. Albums and EPs are both collection of tracks
  2. EPs appear in all Billboard album charts.
  3. If bonus tracks are included in an EP, is it still an EP? (e.g. 1 or 2 bonus tracks added to a 8-track EP; see The Fame Monster.)

It is a new idea and it hasn't been use anywhere yet. Please do not included this as a reason. An example can be seen here. Please add responses here. Thank you. Langdon (talk) 20:21, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Hey![edit]

Hey!!! My vacation was a blast! I drove all the way to Nashville, where I stayed with my aunt and uncle there for 4 days. Had the best southern food I've ever tasted in my life lol. After Tennessee, I drove down to Atlanta to visit another set of aunts and uncles and stayed in an amazing Hilton Hotel just outside of Atlanta. I tried lots of new foods....raspberries, GRITS, and ribs lol. I feel about 400 pounds heavier than when I left. Haha! I was supposed to be home late this evening, but instead I drove the whole 12 hours yesterday, so that way I didn't have to stop again in Nashville, when it's only about 8 hours from home. So I'm pretty pooped. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 13:57, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

It was incredible! I got to drive right through the heart of it and see all the giant buildings. Didn't see anyone famous though, lol. France sounds awesome! I think I'll join ya...haha :) EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 20:58, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
Lmao! That's hilarious! Oh, so today I went to Wal-Mart and BestBuy in hopes of getting Brother Clyde's CD, when neither of them had it! It came out today, and the lady at BestBuy checked the inventory and other stores around here and only three other BestBuys had them, each of them only carrying THREE COPIES! The closest one to me was over and hour away, and I'm not wasting my gas...my car gets terrible gas mileage. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 21:32, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
I'm going to order it off Amazon when my mom gets home so I can use her credit card lol. Really? I've actually heard lots of good things about the band here lately, and on the radio. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 21:41, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
Lol, well then. I have actually taking a liking to "Lately". Oh no! Is it really? I haven't seen any pictures of him since the band was announced. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 21:45, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

The Right Time[edit]

Hey buddy, I remember you saying something about you being curious on how the Dolly Parton collab on Brother Clyde was gonna sound. Well lemme tell ya, you ain't missing anything. It's definitely not the best song on the album. My copy finally came in the mail today. Dolly doesn't sing her own verse or anything. It's just a bunch of "feels like the right time..." and "ohhh yeahhh". I would probably give the song a 1.5/5 stars. The worst song I think, is the "I Walk the Line" cover. But the album as a whole, I would give it a 4/5 stars. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 22:36, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

I guess so. I'm gonna see if I have time this weekend and put the songs on YouTube. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 22:38, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

Canadian Country charts[edit]

I've added a little something to the discussion here. About You Now EP - Not That Far Away EP[edit]

Think about the Miranda Cosgrove version of "About You Now". That article mentions the song being released in the format of a digital download and EP. What makes "Not That Far Away" so different. It is just like the Miranda Cosgrove version of "About You Now". They both were released in the format of a digital download and EP.Dbunkley6 (talk) 18:41, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Kelly Rowland (album)[edit]

Hi thanks for your contribution. However "Forever & a Day" was deliberately written like it is because her official website and video static both call it "Forever & A Day" but capitalising the letter 'A' would be incorrect. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 (talk2me) 21:15, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

Hmm I think you might have a point. I will ask at one of the relevant talk pages. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 (talk2me) 22:29, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Actually there is some MOS for ampersand which says "Retain ampersands in titles of works or organizations, such as The Tom & Jerry Show or AT&T". (WP:&) Since "Forever & a Day" is a work (singles and albums are works) ampersand does seem to be appropriate here. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 (talk2me) 22:32, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

Bubbling Under Chart Positions[edit]

Hi Clovers, Hope you are well. I thought you might like to look at this discussion. It is the most recent of many that have show a lack of support for the use of Bubbling Under Songs unless it is directly sourced from the Billboard magazine. Google books contains a good archive upto mid-2008. Beyond this and without the physical magazine such chart positions CANNOT be added to articles. Even with the correct source there is no such chart position as 122... Its the Billboard Hot 100. Thanks for you're time. The World Is Ours Tonight[edit]

This song definitely deserves it's own article; the article has 4 sources, critical reception, a music video has been shot, and the song charted within the top 40, plus with those sources this article probably can even be expanded further. I'd also like to point out that there are multiple articles that you created that you have no problem keeping, which haven't even charted (That's God, A Little Bit Stronger). ALBS even has the same amount of sources, so if "Ours Tonight" were to be redirected, ALBS should also be redirected because they contain the same amount of content (I know you will say ALBS can be expanded, but so can 'Ours Tonight'). I just don't quite understand why you feel it needs to be redirected when it has more notability than multiple articles you have created. Nowyouseemetalk2me 02:59, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

  • And as I said, the song was on another album before it was on Gloriana's, so it doesn't make sense to merge to either of the two albums since it's pretty much equally tied to both. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 03:05, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

I can't buy a million copies myself, I'd be $20,000 in debt by the time I'm 18 lol. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (contributions) • (let's chat) 01:39, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

November 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Billy Ray Cyrus discography, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please use cite web when adding sources. I've warned you about this several times, and if it continues, it will result in me reporting you for disruptive editing and making others fix your mistakes. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (contributions) • (let's chat) 01:20, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

I am glad that you added a source this time, however, it's not that hard to know how to properly add sources. Just ask me if you need assistance. I would be more than happy to help. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (contributions) • (let's chat) 16:34, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
It's very easy. Template:Cite web can help a lot, too. It's in a template, so it includes the brackets, {{reference here}}. Each step is just adding in the title of the article or book, the author's name if it's given, publisher, date, and accessdate. So, in the end it should look like this:
{{cite web|url=|title=|author=|date=|work=|publisher=|accessdate=February 14 2015}}
EnDaLeCoMpLeX (contributions) • (let's chat) 17:09, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
Your welcome. I hope we won't have to have encounters like this one again on this subject. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (contributions) • (let's chat) 17:28, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

Surprisingly, no. I just don't think anything good has come out of Nashville in a while. I don't have a favorite country song at the moment, and I'm not really looking forward to any new albums. The only thing I might consider is Miranda Lambert's new album. Other than that, country music is rather boring me to death. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (contributions) • (let's chat) 02:03, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

I'm just really in love with the dance-pop craze right now and not really interested in country music. How is Scotty's album? His voice and watching him sing irritates me. I forgot about Martina's album. I'm still blasting my old Billy Ray records in my car, though. :) EnDaLeCoMpLeX (contributions) • (let's chat) 15:48, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
I'm American is just how you said. Very "ehh, iffy". It's okay, I mean I enjoy listening to it, but it definitely isn't his best work. I'm still fond of Wanna Be Your Joe. Lol ;) EnDaLeCoMpLeX (contributions) • (let's chat) 20:45, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, "Nineteen" and the title track are my favorites. It's awesome that Scotty isn't even the same age as we are, and yet the kid has the number one album in the country, and won a major singing competition. LeAnn Rimes discography[edit]

I have posted sources supporting that the "What Have I Done" is a single and you keep removing them all the sources are reliable just cause you do not agree does not make you right another person named Status also told you the same thing. 2 people have contradicted you you need to let it go, also you removed information that was added such as the music video for "What Have I Done" which is on the official videos page of LeAnn's website. 184.58.0.27 (talk) 15:04, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Also if you read this: http://leannrimesworld.com/news/117451 it clearly states in the first line: "The second single off of LeAnn's upcoming album, 'Spitfire', is available now! Make sure you grab a copy today!" 184.58.0.27 (talk) 15:08, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

It is pretty clear on the official site that "What Have I Done" is a single otherwise it would not called "Borrowed" the second single from the album. I am not arguing that point anymore. When you reverted you did remove a lot that was sourced. 184.58.0.27 (talk) 07:17, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

Done[edit]

Hi. I see you've uncapitalized this in several places, but I really think it is stylized that way. [1] NYSMy talk page 16:05, 16 March 2013 (UTC)

I agree it shouldn't be stylized like that everywhere, just a mention of (styled as "DONE.") at Done (song) like Tik Tok. I'm sure it's just a cute marketing strategy, kind of like how a lot of Shania's songs have exclamation points. NYSMy talk page 17:53, 16 March 2013 (UTC)

Maryville tennis[edit]

No, it's not currently on the website, but no announcement has been made in any source that the sport has been dropped. Yes, they had a disastrous season last year, but one would think that some announcement would be made if the sport actually was discontinued. There is nothing to that effect on the Maryville athletics website, on the Maryville University website, on the GLVC website, or anywhere in the news. (I did a lot of searching before reverting your edit.) Until there is something more official, we can assume that it was mistakenly omitted from the website. GWFrog (talk) 18:13, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Billy Arnold (singer)[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Billy Arnold (singer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No secondary sourcing found. All article sources are primary.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
