Croquet Association[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to this article. When I constructed the page, the book I used was from the 1950s and stated UK, so it's unsuprising things have changed. Could you point me to an online source so I can reference your comments. I'm a bit confused as the CA homepage states that it looks after England, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Cheers FruitMonkey (talk) 10:03, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

The position is slightly confusing, as most things to do with governing bodies in the UK are. I have put a subsequent update which tries to clarify what the situation actually is at present.

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Cardiff City F.C. in Europe, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Borussia, Derry City and Moscow Dynamo (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Thanks for contributing the new article John Farrington (footballer). However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable, by being clearly attributed to reliable sources. Please help by adding more sources to the article you created, and/or by clarifying how the sources already given support the material (see here for how to do inline referencing). Many thanks! Head of the River[edit]

Thanks for reverting my edits where I got the wrong Boat Race - I try my best, but here's the issue: "Head of the River" refers to several races around the world. Can you please change those links to more specific references? Thanks again, PKT(alk) 17:11, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

It may be better to have a link to Eights Week since those are the actual races for which the colleges are Head of the River. Cnwilliams (talk) 17:24, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

Note to Cnwilliams Could you please make sure your disambiguations (obviously your speciality) don't MISlead? When you "corrected" Dorchester in "List of former cathedrals in the United Kingdom" you put Dorchester in Dorset. The relevant Dorchester (see list of locations in LH column of the list) is Dorchester, Oxfordshire, otherwise Dorchester on Thames. I have gone through and corrected your "corrections". May 2014 disambig contest: let's do it again![edit]

Greetings fellow disambiguator! Remember back in February when we made history by clearing the board for the first time ever, for the monthly disambiguation contest? Let's do it again in May! I personally will be aiming to lead the board next month, but for anyone who thinks they can put in a better effort, I will give a $10 Amazon gift card to any editor who scores more disambiguation points in May. Also, I will be setting up a one-day contest later in the month, and will try to set up more prizes and other ways to make this a fun and productive month. Cheers! bd2412 T 18:47, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
