MOS[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. You may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia makes it harder to read. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. Thank you. Deor 18:36, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chatham[edit]

Welcome. You have made a confident statement about the origins of the name, can you state what you reference source is? It is not mentioned in Glover. ClemRutter (talk) 11:11, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Capital letters[edit]

Wikipedia uses less capitals than we do in normal English. 'Strood' is OK. 'Strood Market' is wrong- and wikipedia always writes it 'Strood market' though if we had one you might get away with 'Strood Market Place' but I suspect most editors would change it to 'Strood market place'. Just don't want you to put in extra work that is reversed. ClemRutter (talk) 11:19, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

August 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions, including your edits to Hillary Scott. However, please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not be libelous. Any controversial statements about a living person added to an article, or any other Wikipedia page, must include proper sources. Thank you. Kelly hi! 01:07, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
