Professor Anu Muhammad is not only chair of the Department of Economics at Jahangirnagar University and the leading political economist in Bangladesh—whose work has proven immensely influential among the youth—but he is also internationally known for his committed political activism for democracy and justice, and against capitalism, imperialism, racism, patriarchy, and many other forms and forces of oppression—local and global. He has written some good books on Bangladesh Economy both in English and native language Bengali.

I will add more within few days. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Annilkhan (talkcontribs) 03:08, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Re: CSD tagging[edit]

Hey there, regarding your speedy tagging of Michael Wolf as promotional, Remember to check the talkpage, it already went through AfD with a Keep result. Maybe the article just needs to be reverted back to before the promotional edits. With that said, I'm a bit concerned at your sudden interest in nominating articles for deletion considering you just recently started editing (under this account anyway). -- œ 22:23, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

  • Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Fixed it. Sorry for the trouble. --CronopioFlotante (talk) 22:47, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
  • I'm not really new. I was editing in another language before. --CronopioFlotante (talk) 22:56, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
Ah that explains it. Cheers :) -- œ 02:12, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Hector Zagal[edit]

I found some references for Hector Zagal. An article about him in Spanish can be found at es:Héctor Zagal. He seems to pass the general notability guideline. Please see this Google News archive search.

You may want to revisit Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hector Zagal. -- Eastmain (talk) 01:58, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

  • Thanks, Eastmain. I agree with you and have updated the AfD page. --CronopioFlotante (talk) 22:42, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Hello CronopioFlotante, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD template you added to Justin Bronx Jimenez has been removed. It was removed by Justinbronxusc with the following edit summary '(no edit summary)'. Please consider discussing your concerns with Justinbronxusc before pursuing deletion further yourself. If you still think the article should be deleted after communicating with the 'dePRODer,' you may want to send the article to AfD for community discussion. Thank you, SDPatrolBot (talk) 20:58, 29 September 2009 (UTC) (Learn how to opt out of these messages) 20:58, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

Gunter Dorner[edit]

I am confused by your recent edits to the Gunter Dorner page. The issue there is not whether the subject is notable; it is whether Wikipedia should let a sockpuppet of a banned user, who apparently enjoys violating BLP, create a BLP. Surely common sense would suggest that any BLP created by such a sock be deleted? Considering who started it, everything in the article should be considered suspect. Vidak2 (talk) 20:34, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

I agree with you in part. Looking at the German Wikipedia article de:Günter Dörner and Google Scholar citations I get the feeling that the person is notable according to WP:PROF and that there are enough sources out there to write the article in such a way that it doesn't violate BLP. But given what you say about the creator of the page it may be difficult to do so. It may be easiest to delete the article (and hopefully somebody will recreate a better version of it in the future), which is why I ended up leaving the prod in place. I'm sorry about the confusing edits. CronopioFlotante (talk) 22:32, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
The above user, Vid, is a sockpuppet of the banned user Skoojal. Born Gay was also a sock of this user, which was the creator of that page you were discussing. I suggest you be more watchful in the future of suspicious activity, such as a brand-new account posting to someone's talk page referencing banned users.— dαlus Contribs 00:23, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
