Reminder about Victorious and Dan Schneider[edit]

Thanks for the reminder about Dan Schneider in Victorious: Music from the Hit TV Show. I just fixed the problem. The creator of Victorious, iCarly, Sam & Cat, etc. is the best known Dan Schneider around; it feels ridiculous to me that there is more than one Dan Schneider here on Wikipedia. Thanks again. So long. Jake "JJR" Rivera (talk), 31 May 2014 (UTC)

Links from hatnotes to disambiguation pages[edit]

On the page titled Constructability (with an "a" in the third syllable) I put a hatnote saying that other senses of (a slightly different spelling of) the word could be found under Constructibility (with an "i" in the third syllable), a disambiguation page. I got a not from this bot saying I had probably unintentionally linked to a disambiguation page.

That kind of link to a disambiguation page is a standard thing. Doesn't this bot take that into account? Michael Hardy (talk) 00:38, 28 June 2014 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @Michael Hardy: You are right, links to disambiguation page are a standard thing in hatnotes. But intentional linking to disambiguation page needs to be done as described at WP:HOWTODAB. I've changed the hatnote accordingly. Cheers LittleWink (talk) 11:27, 28 June 2014 (UTC)
@LittleWink: I finally understood what you did, and have updated WP:HOWTODAB to reflect this useful trick. CapnZapp (talk) 17:45, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

I have located all the problems and have fixed them. I just want to say that I appreciate your attentiveness and awareness to detail and say thank you for pointing out my carelessness. Mr. Yondris Ferguson (Leave a Comment) 05:20, 29 June 2014 (EST)

The "fix with DABsolver" link doesn't work[edit]

No such tool any longer, because ToolServer is gone.  — SMcCandlish ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ʌ≼  02:20, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

Please update the instructions to point to a useful tool, or remove the links until such are available. Thank you CapnZapp (talk) 17:07, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

Because Toolserver is no longer active, we can't correct any disambiguation links like the ones in The Lego Movie Videogame. Something must be done about this. --Rtkat3 (talk) 16:09, 2 July 2014 (UTC)

You can fix them manually, which is a pain. Click on the link in The Lego Movie Videogame. Once you're in the disambiguation page, select the page you want to use, return to The Lego Movie Videogame and pipe the link ([[right name|name you want to use]]). --Lineagegeek (talk) 14:37, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
  • Please fix the toolserver. Otherwise people would start ignoring DPLbot messages. Thanks! --Ekabhishektalk 10:33, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
World peace is right there. Seriously, I find this a useful tool, and wished it had been kept available until August 31st to give the owner time to move and update it. --Lineagegeek (talk) 14:37, 4 July 2014 (UTC)

I'm crying a little cry. It's tools like this that were making editing easier, as opposed to the vast majority of tools, which seem to be aimed at making removing other people's edits easier. Maury Markowitz (talk) 11:52, 8 July 2014 (UTC)

WP:POPUPS is a useful tool for disambiguating. --NE2 17:36, 8 July 2014 (UTC)

incoming links[edit]

These links were all caused by its inclusion on Template:Albemarle County, Virginia. Once the template change was processed through the links table, all the links disappeared. Perhaps the bot could wait a few days before adding the incoming links template. --NE2 17:35, 8 July 2014 (UTC)

Bell Integrator[edit]

The bot created a new version of an article about 1.5 hours after it had been speedily deleted. Not being an admin, I don't know if the dablinks template would have applied to the previous version of the article. --Finngall talk 23:33, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Bell Integrator[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bell Integrator, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Dablink fix[edit]

Hi. I am letting you know that the dab solver for disambiguation links has been modified on (where the disambiguation check has been redirected to) following the last time I wrote on your page. Just letting you know that. --Rtkat3 (talk) 15:02, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
