Request reason:

You keep reverting the URBNET page to an OLD, VANDALISED version. My updates were correct and reasonable. There is only one external link on the entire page (which has been corrected from one that goes to some garbage/spam site); the update reflects the correct artist roster as well. I would like the ability to upload the record label logo as well, and I would like the harassment from your moderators to end. You guys have me at the brink of sanity at this point!! Our bands are notifiable in their own right, but those links contain a commercial component (whether they be press clippings or their twitter account).... because.... wait for it.... bands don't work for free.

Furthermore, to clarify, I got into heat because I had difficulties emailing the moderators, and I was frustrated with your poor appeal process. Could you give me the ref where this is found that lists these musicians as being associated with the label. When having lists that contain people or bands, we generally don't include non-notable (aka no article) people. One of the two main exceptions is if a reference is given that show they are notable. For a singer/group/band, having a song/album reach the billboard charts would qualify them as being notable. So, more refs the better. As you started insulting Solorra, I've asked her to step away. There are no excuses for insults. Bgwhite (talk) 22:02, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Look above this page. I supplied you with an external link to each artist, I supplied you with urbnet.com/artists reference and urbnet.bandcamp.com catalogue reference.... and please spare me the "those are commercial links" excuse; musicians/bands work for money; hardly a single external reference will be found where they don't actively promote and or mention their product. The bandcamp pages have press clippings, the artist pages have twitter accounts that collaborate everything I've been saying all along (reposted earshot charts, etc...). Do you honestly think I would put none-urbnet artists on an urbnet bandcamp page to pull the wool over your eyes?
Secondly, the original listing on this wiki page had none of those references I just provided you, but you were all too happy to let that stand for years. You actively fought my corrections reverting it back to that list as well. First you weren't happy because there was a lack of communication between us (as I explained already several times - I find the wiki communication system counter intuitive). Now you're not happy when we are communicating. Put yourself in my shoes for a second. I've been at this for a week. My request was simple, my page is rather insignificant. Everytime I follow your request to the best of my abilities, you ask for something else. Then --when we get close to supplying you with content -- you complain and give up!!. (DandYansUrbAdventure (talk) 05:12, 9 July 2014 (UTC))[reply]
You are insulting and complaining. Try being nice instead of complaining every paragraph. Stop saying everything is our fault when you share the blame. To summarize what has been said:
  1. The list of records the company put out, which is out of date, which you wanted removed, will not go up till it is updated and referenced better.
  2. I will update the list of singers/bands/groups that you have been working on. Per policy, only people that are notable can be added. The links to your website do not qualify.
Now IF you want my help. 1) No more talking about what has gone on in the past and no more insults. 2) There are things you will not like 3) Lets try and get the groups to qualify on being notable. If they are notable, I can show you how to create articles for them. WP:MUSICBIO is the policy on music notability. Bgwhite (talk) 05:26, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Alright than, please explain why you're asking for all these references now while you let the old, out-dated list sit on Wikipedia for so long? Were you this diligent with the vandals, or the original poster (who was not me btw)? Honestly, I see a double-standard here I see different rules for different people (lenient rules for the vandals, tough rules for me). That's why I'm this bitter and upset.

All I wanted was to get this list up in its entirety, then follow-up with Wikipedia entries for the artists who do not have a page yet (slowly - over time). (DandYansUrbAdventure (talk) 05:37, 9 July 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Fair enough question. There are over 3 million articles on Wikipedia. I can't remember the number, but there are around 4,000 active editors... those who do more than 100 edits a month. So, odds are that nobody is looking at this page or updating any of the bad pages. People do different things around here. There are programs that alert vandalism might have happened and people fight the vandalism. Others look at the several hundred new pages created a day. I look for syntax error people make. URBNET Records‎ had syntax problems, which is why I'm here. With the vast amount of material removed you removed, people were alerted vandalism might have happened, which is why I think other people arrived here. So, by bad/good luck, people noticed the page. There are not different rules for different people. Vandals have their edits removed, which is what people thought you were, thus reverting your edits. I noticed the links to URBNET Records‎ was vandalism and you were trying to correct that, which led me to reach out more. While we are focused on the page, we try to observe the rules, which is why I'm insisting on following them. Bgwhite (talk) 06:02, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Any updates? (DandYansUrbAdventure (talk) 21:42, 13 July 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Shouting and saying I'm accusing you of lying gets you nowhere. Accusations and rude behaviour will get you nowhere. One of the conditions that I would help was "1) No more talking about what has gone on in the past and no more insults" You send me an email that is nothing but what has gone on the past. I'm out and done. Bgwhite (talk) 22:55, 13 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Whose shouting? I worked very hard to provide you with source material to collaborate the artists are in fact represented by urbnet. I did not hear from you in quite some time; hence, my posts. (DandYansUrbAdventure (talk) 00:58, 14 July 2014 (UTC))[reply]

So, are we going to resolve this? I need that complete artist list active.(DandYansUrbAdventure (talk) 13:34, 14 July 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Any updates? (DandYansUrbAdventure (talk) 08:23, 16 July 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Any Updates? If you refuse to help than please pass me along to a moderator that will.(DandYansUrbAdventure (talk) 01:36, 18 July 2014 (UTC))[reply]

My updates still require action. I supplied you with collaborating links to the artists that require addition to the URBNET page. Ignoring me won't solve the problem.(DandYansUrbAdventure (talk) 06:19, 18 July 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Go Away[edit]

Stop emailing me. Go away. I said, Shouting and saying I'm accusing you of lying gets you nowhere. Accusations and rude behaviour will get you nowhere. One of the conditions that I would help was "1) No more talking about what has gone on in the past and no more insults" You send me an email that is nothing but what has gone on the past. I'm out and done.

ALL CAPS IS SHOUTING. Solarra already left because of your behaviour. You were blocked because of your behaviour. Calling me vindictive and childish in emails just adds more to your rude behaviour. You brought this about on yourself. The article is currently locked so only admins can edit it. I did not do this. As I have edited the article, I cannot undo it.

WP:RFP is the place to request unlock of the

article.

To request to be unblocked, add {{unblock | reason=your reason here ~~~~}} to the bottom of this page. Bgwhite (talk) 06:56, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

For your information I used all caps to HIGHLIGHT my brief comments within a very large post... you know... the one with the references you requested. (DandYansUrbAdventure (talk) 07:02, 18 July 2014 (UTC))[reply]

... and sorry, but I am not going away. I have a job to do and so do you. I held-up my end of the bargain; now it's you turn... then I will go away.(DandYansUrbAdventure (talk) 07:10, 18 July 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Request reason:

I am the most qualified person to update the URBNET page. Its artist list is woefully incomplete. As per the moderator's request, I submitted third party collaborating links for the missing artists (who currently lack their own wiki page). Unfortunately, he has a problem with my attitude and has decided not to help me... telling me to "go away" rather than help. Perhaps my attitude was unprofessional, but that was a result of an ongoing and rather aggravating wiki process(I'm new to this site) and communications system (I couldn't figure out how to contact the moderators). Having said that, refusal to help me sort the artist list is equally unprofessional. I'm trying my best here, but again, some of Wikipedia's idiosyncrasies have me grinding my teeth in aggravation. All I want is to submit, a complete/ none vandalized artist listing on the urbnet page. DandYansUrbAdventure (talk) 8:29 am, Today (UTC+1)

Decline reason:

You keep using the term "vandalism" to refer to edits that you disagree with; please stop doing that - Wikipedia's definition of vandalism is quite precise, and accusing good-faith editors of being vandals is regarded as a personal attack.

I see from your editing history and the messages above that you may have a reasonable case for your changes, but the way in which you have attempted to implement them is so wholly contrary to Wikipedia's process of communal editing that I have doubts you will ever be able to contribute constructively here. In addition, you haven't actually addressed the reason for this block - you are blocked becuase you created this account to evade the block placed on your User:Yandurb account.
If you wish to be unblocked, we will need to see some sort of evidence or guarantee that you will act in accordance with Wikipedia's rules. You will need to convince the reviewing administrator that you will not abuse multiple accounts, and that you will work constructively with other editors to make improvements to the URBNET Records article. To date, I see no evidence of that; in fact your opening sentence - "I am the most qualified person..." - is enough in itself to bring me to the exact oppposite conclusion. Yunshui  10:52, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Alright let's address your concerns here.

1) The way I attempted to implement my changes was unprofessional, but AGAIN,I was making those changes before I knew how to communicate with the moderators - I kept getting emails in my inbox to this talk page, but I had no idea how to respond to you guys. Hence, my intense frustration with the process. Understand, that for a layman, it's impossible to comprehend that you can communicate with moderators/ resolve issues via the edit button within the page.

2) I have in fact addressed the reason for the creation of the second account. I made changes to urbnet, including uploading their logo using my first account. The next day, the logo was gone , I didn't understand why the image was removed, and I wasn't allowed to upload a new one. I still didn't understand why or how to communicate with the moderators, so I created a second account in an attempt to try re-uploading the image once more. Where you guys seem to think I had nefarious plans to vandalize Wikipedia, I can safely say that my actions were of a man bumbling through a very confusing process.

3) Questioning my qualifications is quite hurtful since I co-founded the company 15 years ago. I co-manage it to this very day. I know whose on the roster and I most certainly know who is not. Put yourself in my shoes and imagine the hurtfulness of such comments, and why anyone in my position would react with hostility. You guys don't like being talked-down to (I can appreciate that), but you are talking down to me and asking me to be nice about it. Imagine if you co-founded Wikipedia, and everyday, I kept telling you that you're not qualified to talk about it.

4) You keep saying that I need to prove myself, but that requires either: 1) the moderator helping me with the referenced artist list I supplied him above (13:39, 10 July 2014), OR 2) a moderator unblocking my account so I can attempt the work myself.

Look I'm trying to make amends here, but first, we have stop being rude to each other and one of you has to extend me a small ounce of trust. You are more than welcome to make the artist roster updates yourself with the references I provided you. In fact, I would prefer it because I still feel very uncomfortable using this system.
