Hi Again[edit]

Hi Doodle Doo Good to write to you again. I found someone edited the page for arificial heat and put in different names The history looks like it came from 23:09, 7 February 2008 24.184.86.229 (Talk) (18,801 bytes) (→First clinical implantation of a total artificial heart) My last edit was Jan 29. I fixed it but I guess its something authors cant avoid, having people come in and write nonsense into our articles. Just wanted o let u know.

Best regards

Domingo Jr.

Yeah, that's right, Lupo. You know, our union would be realy lame... Boots and Lupo and Gary. Of course, I'm sure we could find some other people from Innisdale - I have a feeling that with such a page there must be quite a following of students.
Thanks for writing, by the way!
Doodle-doo Ħ 13:30, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

userboxes[edit]

hey i noticed your starting to get userboxes, i just wanted to say that you can get some from my page, just pick the ones you want, click the edit this page button, and copy and paste the userboxes. some still be in extended form, but those are because i dont' know how to actually create my own name and everything for them (with the exeption of the pyro one, i didn't make that).

peace-Threewaysround 20:57, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, great, thanks - just put them up a few minutes ago. By the way, have you added the Innisdale Union box? Go to the page (with my last doo) and add it if you haven't.
Thanks man. Doodle-doo Ħ 20:59, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hah, yeah. Don't you just love it when that happens? Doodle-doo Ħ 21:43, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not delete my page entitled Edward Stein. It is about my father, not me despite the fact that we share the same name. I hope to grow the page in the future, but it will take me some time to get used to the tools Wikipedia employs.

Thanks.

merge categories[edit]

Hi, I have suggested that Category:No image available that you created should be merged with Category:Wikipedia requested photographs that is an old category for the same purpose, please discuss at the talk page. --Stefan talk 14:17, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I'm trying to change the categories now, and will put up the category for deletion later. --Stefan talk 14:52, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Harry Potter[edit]

Why delete my picture?. I make the picture myself. There isn't copyrigt. And my UserCount was blocked. Why? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.220.222.140 (talk) 22:40, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mainly because the picture was what is called a copyright derivative, which means it has come from another picture that is copyrighted (as the publicity shot of the Harry Potter film was). I'm sorry, it's just that the Wikimedia Commons is a place for free images - with no copyright restrictions - and yours was not one. Your account was blocked because you uploaded multiple images involving copyright infringement - the one derivative signature image, and the poster shot of the Harry Potter movie in Spanish. I don't know if you'll read this - I'll add it to your IP talk and your Commons talk as well. I feel bad that you didn't understand the rules, but that's why they're there. Template:Expand, SVG image[edit]

Hello Mr. Levy,

I cropped the SVG down to the same dimensions as the PNG currently in use, however, I worry that if I upload it to Commons, it would be deleted as per their duplication rules; do you suppose I should upload it as a local duplicate? Doodle-doo Ħ 20:01, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! The difference is significant enough that the image shouldn't be deemed a duplicate, so I recommend that you upload it to the Commons. Just be sure to indicate the cropping in the description.
Note, however, that the image has been replaced as the default "growth" icon (so I'm not sure that the community wishes to use it for this template). —David Levy 23:06, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Doodledoo. Thank you very much for your message. The thing is that I love rocks in general and unusual ones in particular. I do understand that not everybody shares this hobby of mine and probably the picture looked boring for most of the voters. Maybe I'll try to nominate it on Wikipedia later. I believe it has some encyclopedic value. Thank you again for you message. I'm glad you liked the picture.--Mbz1 04:36, 27 September 2007 (UTC)Mbz1[reply]

Welcome, Rastabyebye[edit]

Hi, Doodledoodoo. I notice you welcomed a new user yesterday at Rastabyebye, a few minutes after Rastabyebye's first three edits. All of them were childish vandalism to Gresham's School, and I've added the {{uw-vandalism2}} template to his Talk page. The welcome you used was one which thanks new users for their edits, so you may wish to check the nature of the edits before using it! regards, Xn4 01:50, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry... I guess I was just going on autopilot. Thank you for your note. I'll be sure to check their contributions from now on. Doodle-doo Ħ 12:57, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Souvigny[edit]

Hello Doodledoo,

As you rightly pointed out (it was you, I believe), the article on Souvigny lacked any references. I have supplied a few, only to find that the original article fr:Souvigny appears to be (in part at least) a copy/paste of the official websites cited there.

As a relative newbee to the en:wiki, I am not sure what should be done with the translation now. Should it be nominated for deletion, or might it be paraphrased so as to avoid copy violation? I'd appreciate your advice.

Hola[edit]

Hi Doodledoo: Thanks for the welcome note on my talk page. Ive finished inserting some info about the artificial heart research back in the 60's. Hope you find it ok. I like this wikipedia project. I guess Ill pick another topic soon Domingo Liotta Jr. 17:10, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Doodledo. I wrote a short update about the early designs of the artificial heart. A project my dad participated at Baylor University, Houston, Tx. He was part of many scientists that worked with Dr. DeBakey and Dr. Cooley at that time.
I'm still a newb here at Wiki and I was'nt sure I left the note at the right place. Looks like you got it ok. :)
To be honest my father with almost 83 is ok and still working, do you think maybe he can also write some articles on recent developments? What do you suggest? Maybe a new article?
Thanks again for your input.

Hi Doodledo. Thanks for your great input. Im happy I kept the the NPOV ok. Its my first article here and to be honest anywhere online. I do have the according references to sustain what I say but I was inserting the tags wrong and breaking everything.
I finally got it right, thanks to your valuable links. I just mentioned my dad about your message and he says he will be glad to help write for the spanish part of Wiki on cardiac subjects. He sees the english section is very complete. Thanks again for your help. I feel at home already Domingo Liotta Jr. 20:27, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. This little form letter is just a courtesy notice to let you know that a proposal to merge the projects Wikipedia:WikiProject Free images, Wikipedia:WikiProject Fair use, Wikipedia:WikiProject Moving free images to Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia:WikiProject Illustration into the newly formed Wikipedia:WikiProject Images and Media has met with general support at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals/Files. Since you're on the rosters of membership in at least one of those projects, I thought you might be interested. Conversation about redirecting those projects is located here. Please participate in that discussion if you have any interest, and if you still have interest in achieving the goals of the original project, we'd love to have you join in. If you aren't interested in either the conversation or the project, please pardon the interruption. :) Thanks. Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:39, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Doodledoo. Just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion you suggested for this article. The article needs a lot of work, but as far as I can tell there's a reasonable chance it would meet our notability guidelines. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 22:57, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Doodledoo! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 951 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Peter Menacher - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 23:59, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Josef Mayr has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced since 2008 - BLP?/notability issues?

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. New deal for page patrollers[edit]

Hi Doodledoo,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please help with usability testing[edit]

Hello! The mw:Anti-Harassment Tools team is running a usability test to find out how and where IP addresses are used when patrolling wikis, particularly when patrolling RecentChanges. This could include New Pages or RecentChanges patrol. We want to see your patrolling process and get your views on some prototypes. Getting your perspective would be really helpful to us at this stage of the process. If you’d like to help, and have 30 minutes to spare, please fill out this Google form with your details: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfjYyRNGMkO4_TdNOgG4qmK9cp9YOKzM4GFO5pTd_bEcu23YQ/viewform

Problem with your custom signature[edit]

Hello, I'm sending you this note because you need to update your signature. You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. Your signature does not link to your account. This is usually because your account has been renamed.

To fix your signature, you need to find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences and either blank it or change the link to your current account name. More information is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. mw:New requirements for user signatures/Help#Wrong user links. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures.
