[edit] WikiProject A-League
Hi Dragases, I noticed you've contributed to a whole heap of Australian football articles, and thought you might be interested in WikiProject A-League, an attempt to keep all things A-League up-to-date and informative. Any help would be greatly appreciated - to join up, just go to the project page and add yourself. Thanks! AlbinoMonkey (Talk) 12:06, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] SMFC userbox
Looking through the changes you've been making in your page... if you want the SMFC one, it's 'User South Melbourne FC' (not SMFC, which would have been more intuitive i suppose), cheers Blackmissionary 06:31, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

- Here it is, not the best or most complete info, but perhaps worth checking against when doing your thing. I've left the sponsors/kit maker on just as part of general interest.

[edit] Greek flags
Hello Dragases! The form of crown in the new flags you added is very good and far more accurate! However, I would suggest using a lighter shade of blue, since the very dark colour has only recently come into official use (during and after the Colonels' regime, to be exact). Historically, and certainly during the kingdom, the colours ranged from this to this. Thank you and cheers, Cplakidas (talk) 15:36, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Panathinaikos logo
Hi there! I saw you replaced my Panathinaikos logo image in the Panathinaikos FC article. I don't have any problem with that, I just want to ask you to reduce the size of the image you uploaded because it is a little too large to be low-resolution enough to justify fair use, see Wikipedia:Logos and try 225 × 263. [edit] SAS Logo use request
Hi, I was wondering if I would be able to use the SAS logo you created here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Uk-sas.svg
For a project I am working on.
Please contact me if I can use it or you want further information how it would be used, Thanks, Alex Alexillsley (talk) 16:02, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, I am planning to use it in a game I am working on. Do you want me to put your name in the credits? Also would you be able to send it to me as a png file with the black background replaced with transparency?
Thank you, Alex

Thank you :)
Would you be able to make a small logo for my game that will be displayed for the OpFor team? I could pay you a small amount if you want. I need it to look similar to this:

http://www.bmeink.com/A80602/high/ns0g-opfor-logo.jpg
It needs to be the same size as the sas logo
Thanks, Alex

[edit] Crescent and Star
Hi, I'm writing about the image you apparently uploaded titled "Constantinople-Banner.svg". The caption for this image reads:
"Flag depicting the emblem of the city-state of Christian Constantinople (330 - 1453). When the city of Byzantion became the Christian Constantinople in 330 AD, a star was added to the Crescent of Artemis emblem as it assumed the significance of an attribute of the Virgin Mary."
Byzantion was a city state, while Constantinople should be more accurately described as an imperial capitol. Further, (at least) as early as the 1st century BC we find the crescent and star of Artemis/Hecate appearing on a coin of the city of Byzantion. How could the star have been added later when it is apparent at this early date? While there are references to the city of Byzantion adopting a star and crescent as the emblem of the city (e.g. Hesychius), I have personally been unable to find any representation of this emblem suitable as a basis for the flag reconstruction you have uploaded (other than the coin I mentioned, which incidentally shows a crescent with a six pointed star, as does your banner, though on the coin the crescent is oriented below, with the star above). Can you provide any citation supporting your reconstruction of this banner?
You also have uploaded an image of a crescent and placed it in the Byzantium article. Here you claim the crescent was a symbol of Byzantion from as early as the 7th century BCE. In my own research I have not been able to find any representation of the star and crescent (or crescent alone) on Byzantine coinage that is this early. As I mentioned above, the earliest I have been able to find is the first century BCE. In any case the famous resistance against Philip II of Macedon when Hecate is supposed to have aided the city, leading to the adoption of her crescent and star (or crescent) as a symbol did not occur until 340-39 BCE. In the earliest days the symbol of Byzantium seems to have been varied, including the cow and the trident. Can you direct me to your sources for this claim?
Thanks. --Picatrix (talk) 16:05, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Vote for Football as the Australian collaboration
Hi -- I recently nominated Wikipedia:WikiProject Football (soccer) in Australia/To-do for the Australian Collaboration of the Fortnight.
This WikiProject has been inactive for a long time and with the World Cup coming up, it would be good for football (soccer) articles to be in depth and comprehensive in Australia.
If you would like to support it, click here for the project page to cast your vote
Thanks! Australian Matt (talk) 02:58, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] A request
Good morning/night. I've just seen your excellent graphics and I was wondering if you could draw some battle maps. I am currently working on an article about the Battle of Kursk on the greek Wikipedia, but the troop movements are so complicated that is very difficult to understand the article without detailed maps, and currently, no such maps exist on Commons.
If you can accomplish this task and, of course, have the time to do it, please let me know by posting [User talk:Sepp18 here] or here. In case you can't or don't have the time, I would be grateful if you could find another user who can do the work.
P.S. Sorry, but I don't know whether I should speak Greek. Please ignore any grammatic/syntax errors...

[edit] File copyright problem with File:Uk-sas-trans.svg
Thank you for uploading File:Uk-sas-trans.svg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:52, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- I believe this design is over 50 years old, so it may be public domain under UK Crown Copyright rules. In such a case, the appropriate license tag would be {{PD-UKGov}}. SV1XV (talk) 12:04, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading File:Aek emblem 2010.svg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
