[edit] Welcomne

Hello E. abu Filumena and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.

Here are some tips to help you get started:

Good luck!

[edit] Calabrian language

As the primary contributor to this article, I'd like to draw your attention to a lengthy post at Talk:Calabrian language. I'm neither Italian nor a linguist, so I'd like you to discuss the issues with VingenzoTM and decide what the article needs. At the least, many of his points and references would improve the article, so I would love to see you two work together on doing so. You're doing great things on Wikipedia, and I look forward to seeing many more contributions from you. Best wishes — Catherine\talk 16:59, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Paul LaFarge.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Paul LaFarge.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] cretiane

I have no doubt that there are Italians who use the wored "Christian" to refer to people in general. There was a comparable practice in the UK and US. Nevertheless, Jews and others found the practice objectionable. This is the key to our NPOV policy. You say that "crstiane" is "correct" in terms of lagnuage usage as it was "traditionally" used to refer to people. What you do not make clear is whether all Italians followed this usage unquestioningly, or whether some Italians expressed, directly or indirectly, passively or actively, some resistence to this usage. If the former, then we just have an interesting example of this history of a language. If the latter, then we have an NPOV violation. Slrubenstein | Talk 14:51, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Possible renaming of Wikipedia:WikiProject Saints

It has been suggested that the above named project be renamed Wikipedia:WikiProject Christian saints. Please express your opinion on this proposed renaming, and the accompanying re-definition of the scope of the project, here. John Carter 17:06, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Christianity

Hello E. abu Filumena!

You are cordially invited to participate in WikiProject Christianity

The goal of WikiProject Christianity is to improve the quality and quantity of information about Christianity available on Wikipedia. WP:X as a group does not prefer any particular tradition or denominination of Christianity, but prefers that all Christian traditions are fairly and accurately represented.

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Paul_LaFarge.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Paul_LaFarge.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rettetast (talk) 15:48, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Piccalilli

Please verify the changes I've made to that article, thanks. Maikel (talk) 20:27, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] RE: your message

There was no offense intented. This was meant to be helpful, not a criticism pertaining spelling. Of course I don't mean for any language to change its spelling. I just figured "maybe" no-one had noticed it yet. I now realize that that is unlikely. And by the way, the bot had found a way around it, using UNICODE instead of the actual signs/letters. [edit] Unreferenced BLPs

Information.svg Hello E. abu Filumena! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 212 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Richard Wayne Chambliss, Jr. - Find sources: "Richard Wayne Chambliss, Jr."news · books · scholar · free images

[edit] Proposed deletion of Panti'

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Panti' has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced may lack notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Dcheagle 23:38, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
