Welcome to Wikipedia. But…[edit]

…I've added the "{{prod}}" template to your user page (User:E.cassimatis), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy).

Please note that the purpose of a user page is not as personal homepage or used as a general webhosting service, but as way for active editors of Wikipedia to introduce themselves to other editors. If you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues here or on my user talk page. You may remove the deletion notice, and the page will not be deleted for the moment, but note that it may still be sent to Miscellany for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria.

If you wish to contribute directly to Wikipedia and your page has already been deleted, you can ask any admin to undelete and restore it: if necessary, leave me a message and I'll pass on your request. To begin editing, here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Thank you, and happy editing. Calton | Talk 08:21, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Goodwizz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Katherine (talk) 15:05, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Talkback?[edit]

Hello. You left a {{Talkback}} template on my talk page, but I don't see any message here. Katherine (talk) 03:31, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

February 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Talk:List of social networking websites. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Also, do NOT add the 'semi-protection' template--it does nothing, and you obviously do not have the privileges necessary to enact such protection. Hello

Thanks for this. I am confused, this is a list of social networks and Goodwizz should be among the list? I have provided references and articles which demonstrate that this is a known social network. Why should not Goodwizz be on a list of hundreds of social networks?

The lists are navigational aids for existing articles, not, as you have confused Wikipedia--like many others before you--as being either a directory service or advertising platform for promoting entities which haven't yet achieved encyclopaedic status. When your organisation is able to sustain an actual article, then it can be added to the list. In the meanwhile, please do not attempt to insert covert advertisements in non-article space. --CalendarWatcher (talk) 09:11, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to create a page for Goodwizz, how do I do?

Check out Wikipedia:Your_first_article--SPhilbrickT 15:37, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I just took a look at your first attempt at Goodwizz.
Creating content using the Wikipedia markup language can be a challenge, and it is clear that you don't yet know the way articles are structured or how references are created. Nothing wrong with that, but most editors learn by making edits to existing articles. It is rare that someone can come in, with no editing experience and successfully create a new article. I couldn't do it, and I've seen few who can.
Please consider editing existing article first, to learn how things work. Then practice in a WP:Sandbox. Look at how other articles are structured.--SPhilbrickT 15:43, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
