WikiProject South Park[edit]

I have thought of creating a WikiProject for South Park since it is now near its' 10th anniversary and has more articles than ever. I feel we could all do the following things through this project:

  • Cleanup any short/poorly written/unformatted articles
  • Merge/lengthen the many character articles
  • Improve the South Park main page

I have seen your South Park fan template and wondered if you were interested in joining. If so reply to my talk page and I'll get back to you as quick as I can. Thanks, Mr. Garrison

Sorry[edit]

I wasn't aware of his change in ring name. I apologize for my mistake. The Hybrid 07:49, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

From the Editor

Welcome to the inaugural edition of the WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter! I hope this will be a good source of news to those people interested in what's happening around our pro wrestlimg community. I plan to release it every Sunday.

This newsletter will just be a way to get the community announcements to people who don't have the time to check the mesageboards, as well that to those just curious about the news. The newsleter will consist of a project news section (to do with what's happening on Wikipedia), and a current events section (relating to news in the "real world"). The newslette will also contain the Collaboration of the Week announcement.

That's all. If you have any feedback or suggestions, please post them at this talk page.

Phi Beta Sigma NavBox as Template.[edit]

I noticed that you added the more or less identical navbox to both Phi Beta Sigma and Phi Beta Sigma members, and have been working on your X7 template. I've made fraternity-related templates (Alpha Phi Omega) before, if you would like help. Your additions to the Phi Beta Sigma related articles have been great!Naraht (talk) 08:55, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Take a look at the new template, specifically what happens when you click the "v" in the "v d e", I'm still getting that going to the wrong place, but that may be things that are cached on my system. I thought I'd managed to fix it by changing the name of the navbox. I've put in the template on the main page, the brothers page and the chapters page. My personal option is that the template navbox does not belong on Howard University and NPHC. Whether it belongs on the ZPhiB page, I'm not sure. ZPhiB has a "part of a series" box, just like Alpha Phi Alpha and Phi Beta Sigma isn't in their part of a series box... In fact if you want to completely change the template to be like Z Phi B's that could work.Naraht (talk) 13:21, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Phi Beta Sigma chapter references.[edit]

There are a couple of things that could be improved on the Phi Beta Sigma chapter references. The first is that all of the PBS southeastern region can be combined. Instead of <ref>[http://www.pbs1914se.org Phi Beta Sigma Southeastern Region]</ref> again and again, you can use named references. The first one in the file would be <ref name="pbs1914se">[http://www.pbs1914se.org Phi Beta Sigma Southeastern Region]</ref> and any later ones in the file would be <ref name="pbs1914se"/><nowiki>'''. Note that you don't need a '''<nowiki></ref> for the later ones, but you do need the / at the end. (It doesn't have to be the first one that actually has the website, but some people find it confusing if it isn't) Also, the link should be to the actual page that has the information, so I think the link should be to http://www.pbs1914se.org/links.htm which is the page actually brought up as a subpage when you click the appropriate link on http://www.pbs1914se.org/. Also, more than one reference is good, so for the ones where you actually have a chapter list from links page, go ahead and use pbs1914se anyway. I'll start a few of these.Naraht (talk) 13:38, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Had a few minutes, so I made the changes. A couple of other things, it seems wierd, at least to me, to see chapter in English Alphabetical order, I'd rather see them in Greek Alphabetical order, presumably in the order they were assigned, taking into account the rule that ending in Sigma is grad chapter and no Omega. It just seems wierd to see a new Alpha Alpha Rho chapter come before Beta (if they were in the same region) and similarly Alpha Alpha Rho Sigma before Beta Sigma for grad chapters. And having Xi after Sigma (in english alphabetical) seems wierd, it should be before, IMO Also, in terms of new data. http://www.gulfcoastsigma.com/gulfcoastchapters.php

List of Conclaves[edit]

I know that you are mentioning specific conclaves as you go along, but you may also consider a page for all of the conclaves the way that it has been done for AKA Boules, OPP or DST. See [[Category:Fraternity and Sorority National Conference Lists]] for the ones that have been done already. I'll be happy to help research these.Naraht (talk) 12:40, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Whoops, didn't notice that there was an entry for that in the box that you made. I guess it will happen eventually.Naraht (talk) 16:32, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia "adoptees"[edit]

You may want to take a look at Adopt-a-User, to see if you want me to "adopt" you. (However you may be moving fast enough to "graduation" that you may not need it.Naraht (talk) 14:10, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi, and welcome to the College basketball Wikiproject! We are a group of editors who love college basketball and work to improve Wikipedia's coverage of this sport.

If you have any ideas you would like to share or if there is any way your fellow college basketball fans can help you, please feel free to ask on the project talk page.

If you're interested, there is a College Basketball project that you are welcome to take part in. Thanks for the nice work! Rikster2 (talk) 13:30, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:NCCU Secondary Logo Cropped.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:NCCU Secondary Logo Cropped.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:55, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

All grown up...[edit]

And out there on his own... :) Naraht (talk) 10:28, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

Ha! When i didn’t see the adoption box on your page, I thought you were telling me it was time to leave the nest. I Still have so much to learn, but my goal to have the phi beta sigma article gain GA/FA status by the centennial (2014) is well within grasp. I couldn't have made the progress that was made without your guidance...Thank You So Much :-)--Educatedblkman1914 23:08, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:PBSMillionManMarch1995.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:PBSMillionManMarch1995.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Leonard F. Morse[edit]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Leonard F. Morse, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.omicronsigma1914.org/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=182064&module_id=11014.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Information icon Hello, I'm Kkj11210. I noticed that you recently removed some content from History of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article, specifically User:Educatedblkman1914/sandbox/Blue and Gold Marching Machine, may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. See WP:NFCC#9. --Stefan2 (talk) 21:45, 3 July 2014 (UTC)
