Hi, seeing the great work you've done. I was wondering if you'd be willing to join my project? If you scroll down see the stub focus contest. You're more than welcome to propose a subject and help create 10 new articles and also used the project pages to store missing content. No obligation to be a part of it, just a loose association of editors who start articles from other wikis who tackle systematic bias.♦ Dr. Blofeld 06:06, 17 May 2015 (UTC)

Hi Dr, thanks for your invitation. I will try to contribute to your project. I may propose a subject related to magazines or magazine founders from those countries which are less represented in the Wikipedia. --Egeymi (talk) 14:06, 18 May 2015 (UTC)

Question

Hi, as my watchlist is getting quite long, I am trying to pare it down a bit. So when I see you editing a magazine article that I have watchlisted, I remove it, assuming that you'll keep an eye on it so I'm not needed any more. However, that hinges upon the assumption being true... If you don't watchlist them, thy risk not being watched by anybody any more at all. Hence my question: do you watchlist the articles you edit and can I continue removing those from my own watchlist? Thanks. --Randykitty (talk) 15:38, 20 June 2015 (UTC)

I am sorry, I do not watchlist all the articles I edited. But I sometimes add them to my list. So I do not know which magazines you are referring to. However, I frequently check the magazine articles. --Egeymi (talk) 15:46, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
  • It would be too many to list (and because I took them off my watchlist, I'd be hard pressed to make a list anyway). But it looks like you're cheking most of them, so I'll continue taking them of my watchlist, concentrating on academic journals. Thanks for all your good work! --Randykitty (talk) 16:01, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
OK Randy, sure I will check them. Don't worry :)) --Egeymi (talk) 16:03, 20 June 2015 (UTC)

Reliable sources

Eygemi, first of all, thank you for your contributions here. I just ran into Leninshil Zhas, an article on a very difficult topic since there are so few sources available. Unfortunately, one of the references you added, this article, is not an acceptable source for a variety of reasons. Basically, that journal is part of a pay-for-play scheme, where authors pay a sum to get their stuff published. There seems to be no decent editorial oversight, and thus we cannot cite them in Wikipedia. (I just left a note on User talk:Randykitty#Journal mill--Randykitty is an academic and one of our experts on academic journals.) Note that I'm not blaming you--I don't know whether you're an academic or not, whether you're trained to look for those things or not, and it can be hard to see: it certainly looks, at first glance, like a decent enough journal. But I did have to remove it. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 14:07, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

It is OK Drmies. --Egeymi (talk) 06:49, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

question re: article being renamed

I was wondering why you changed the article "Box Office Poison (magazine article)" to "Box Office Poison (magazine)" when "Box Office Poison" is not a magazine but an article in a magazine. Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 22:35, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Hi, it was a mistake. I am sorry. I will fix it. Happy editing, --Egeymi (talk) 07:28, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
No worries, that's why I was asking. I thought maybe I had missed something. Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 07:34, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for your question, so I could fix my mistake. --Egeymi (talk) 07:35, 11 August 2015 (UTC)

Minor problem

You are right this is a better template, but you broke the picture. I restored the old one, feel free to revert me but please make sure no data like the picture is lost. Re [1]. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 11:09, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

Sorry, I did not recognise what I had done. It is OK with me. Thanks for informing me,--Egeymi (talk) 11:20, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

Hi, can I interest you in contributing to this? Needs entries for Italy!♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:30, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

  • Hi Dr. I have added an article about a magazine, I will continue. Thanks for informing me about the activity. --Egeymi (talk) 07:13, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Dates

My bad, in the case of Template:Use dmy dates the rule is actually the opposite ("write the month and year that the article was last checked for inconsistent date formatting"). Mr KEBAB (talk) 15:19, 23 November 2016 (UTC)

There were two Zhensky Vestniks

Sorry, but I have to revert a couple of your recent edits in the Zhensky Vestnik article, for they have to do with another magazine of the same title (ru:Женский Вестник (журнал, 1905)), a short-lived 1905 publication edited by Maria Pokrovskaya, which was indeed a feminist magazine. The 1866-1868 Zhensky Vestnik wasn't, and of course could have nothing at all to do with the 'right-wingers' of the early 1900s' Women's Alliance. Alexandra Kollontai in her 1908 article (as well as the introduction to it) was busy fighting out the feminist issues related to years 1905-1908, as far as I could gather. And Filippenko in his/her article refers to the 'early 20th century' Zhensky Vestnik. -- Evermore2 (talk) 22:48, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

Re: a short-lived 1905 publication edited by Maria Pokrovskaya. Except that... well, not exactly. It started in 1904 and closed in 1917, having lasted 13 years, which was quite an achievement for a feminist magazine in a place like Russia. Hugely embarrassing error on my behalf, for this one is certainly no less notable than its 1866-1868 counterpart (perhaps even more so), and Pokrovskaya has been described as 'the brightest figure of the early Russian feminism', in this comprehensive essay. Surely, there's thick aura of 'obscurity' about this journal, some things (like circulation) remain unclear, but Kradetskaya's article provides more than enough information to go on with. So. Would you like perhaps to start the Zhensky Vestnik (1904-1917 magazine) page and use in it the information that you'd found earlier, and which I removed from the aforementioned page? (This PDF might be useful, too) -- Evermore2 (talk) 22:17, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for the message. Whenever I have enough time, I will try to create a page for the magazine.--Egeymi (talk) 22:19, 17 January 2017 (UTC)

Dates

I just reverted you date format change on Animage, what I did not see at the time I reverted them was that you were actually making them consistent within the page. My apologies. Although perhaps changing them all to M/D/Y to be consistent with general system used on all the A&M articles might be better.SephyTheThird (talk) 19:24, 1 February 2017 (UTC)

Cram101

The source you added to Media Monitor, Cram101, is not reliable as these "books" copy Wikipedia - their entry was copied from the lead of Center for Media and Public Affairs. See WP:PUS for more on this type of "book". Fences&Windows 20:38, 13 February 2017 (UTC)

DYK for Annabelle (magazine)

On 17 February 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Annabelle (magazine), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Tamedia, the publishing company of the German language women's magazine Annabelle, banned it from reporting critical political news in 2013? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Annabelle (magazine). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Annabelle (magazine)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Marble Palace

what do you mean? If it's a palace in Tehran, then it's a Palace in Iran as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BardiaSaeedi (talkcontribs) 10:40, 19 February 2017 (UTC)

Yes, you are right. But if you look at the cat Palaces in Tehran, you will see it is included in the other cat Palaces in Iran. So if you insert it, it will appear in both cats and it will be a reduplication. Hope you can get it. --Egeymi (talk) 10:48, 19 February 2017 (UTC)

Red Flag Magazine

Your reference on this article is wrong, which does not match the original Chinese material. If you want to make English Wikipedia a place full of mistakes and can not write the basic fact and make experts laugh at it, then go on. 安眠3 (talk) 14:34, 17 April 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thankyou for your participation in the challenge series or/and contests. In November The Women in Red World Contest is being held to try to produce new articles for as many countries worldwide and occupations as possible. There will be over $4000 in prizes to win, including Amazon vouchers and paid subscriptions. If this would appeal to you and you think you'd be interested in contributing new articles on women during this month for your region or wherever please sign up in the participants section. The articles done may also count towards the ongoing challenge. If you're not interested in prize money yourself but are willing to participate and raise money to buy books about women for others to use, this is also fine. Thankyou, and if taking part, good luck!♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:08, 4 October 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Egeymi, I noticed your edit. It is the printed version that has been stopped, the magazine is online, I added the official website link. Would you adapt the text? Thank you for your time. Lotje (talk) 04:26, 27 June 2018 (UTC)

Creating a page

Hi. As it's now America y Oriente , it does not contain any info and I tried to create a page by that name but could not. If you will create a page by that name , I could then add info to it.Marinla (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 13:02, 28 July 2020 (UTC)

I also wanted to add as , relatively new user, that I didn't carefully read your first revert. Sorry.Marinla (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:16, 28 July 2020 (UTC)

It's okay. Thank you for the message, hope you can learn how to do it. You can read some necessary information from the related pages. If you want to create an article for this magazine, just click the title, then put the info that unfortunately I should have reverted: Because it is just a list of magazines published in Argentina. If you cannot do it I can create it as well, happy editing and welcome Marinla, Egeymi (talk) 16:42, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
I am creating a page for the magazine. Egeymi (talk) 16:49, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
