Hi Eliaser, I agree with your assessment; your edits were clearly not a test. However, you did not make the links red, but blue; both entries Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox already existed when you made this edit. The reason that it now does not make much sense to link them from Smosh is that both are redirects: empty pages that link back to Smosh. These wikilinks thus "lure" potential readers to click on them for further information, but all that happens after they are being clicked is that the Smosh page is reloaded. Hi Eliaser, just another hint at improving your articles: Someone tagged the NQA article as "orphan", that means that Namibia Qualifications Authority is not properly linked to from other Wikipedia pages. Readers will not have an easy way to find this article. If you want to solve an issue like this, think of what articles might be there that should reasonably link to Namibia Qualifications Authority. You can find out what already links to it by clicking "what links here" in the left column of links.

Applied to the NQA article I found that Tjama Tjivikua was the only article linking to it. But it makes sense, I think, to include information about the NQA at Education in Namibia and at Government of Namibia. I have done that just now, and at three incoming links (minimum) an article is not considered to be an orphan anymore. Diannaa, Regarding the recent indefinite blocking of User: Elianamwiha from editing, I think it's unfair, uncalled for and an absolute over use of your administrator authority.

Consider this, the user in question has been on Wikipedia for well almost a good decade, and has made well some very excellent edits over the years especially those having to do with sub Saharan Africa.

Please also note that the user is among the few from Namibia (if you even know where that's located), and has been at the forefront among a handful of user from that region who have contributed contents of interest to Wikipedia despite the recent copyright violation.

Now tell me this, have you even gone through all the users edits, or at least a few? Have you gotten the time to accurately and without bias assess the decision whether to block the user or not. Also, I think one can't be too condescending especially not on the internet.

Now with regards to the copyright violation claim, the user has made reference to sources, despite minor hiccups here and there, was he supposes to suck all the information from the fingertips rather? Note that most of the information in the user edits are public information, while it is easy (perhaps for you) to observe all protocols during your edits, it is important to note that most users are novice and have not gotten sufficient training. It is a learning process and it is best if given utmost patient and necessary help, instead of trolling users and condemning them to eternal hell at the first turn.

Again. Allow me to reiterate the fact that you miserably failed to assess and rationalize before making the blocking decision. Wikipedia can certainly make use of said user, albeit with discretion now and then. I think demographic if not racial bias motivated your decision to block certain users. Your indefinite blocking of user will lead to the decrease of an already declining wikipedia community especially among the already underrepresented parts of Africa. I hope you reconsider , also start getting Namibian related content or block me as well.

The reason we started using indef block is because if we do it that way the editor cannot resume editing until they provide us with a clear statement that demonstrates that they have read and understand our copyright policy and intend to follow it in the future. There's been many people who simply resume what they were doing, to the detriment of the encyclopedia. Hi Elianamwiha! You perhaps didn't notice it, but your own talk page is still editable under your normal account. I'm sorry that you've got into trouble here. Now, to continue editing under another account makes matters worse. As does playing down the events that got you blocked. Even if it hurts you, I have to say that there's nothing wrong with Diannaa's block---Wikipedia is published under a license that allows re-use. That's why we cannot accept copyright violations: We would not only get ourselves into legal trouble but also the readers who trust us that they can re-use the content without paying.

As the one who introduced you to this place, and as an editor who just like you wants Namibian content on the English Wikipedia, I ask you to reconsider: If you read the admin's comment carefully you should see the road to your return. The Months of African Cinema Contest Continues in November!

Thank you very much for participating in the Months of African Cinema global contest/edit-a-thon, and thank you for your contributions so far.

It is already the middle of the contest and a lot have been achieved already! We have been able to get over 1,500 articles created in over fifteen (15) languages! This would not have been possible without your support and we want to thank you. If you have not yet listed your name as a participant in the contest page please do so.

Please make sure to list the articles you have created or improved in the article achievements' section of the contest page, so that they can be easily tracked. To be able to claim prizes, please also ensure to list your articles on the users by articles page. We would be awarding prizes to different categories of winners:
