Category blanking[edit]

The reason why i remove the categories from actresses' Pages Is because the AACTA Awards doesn't have categories like: "Best Actress AACTA Award winners" or "Best Supporting Actress AACTA Award winners". @Lapadite77:

Yes they do; you blanked the respective categories. The categories correspond with the Wiki pages for AACTA International Award for Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actress, two awards that were first awarded in 2012 and 2013, respectively. As a general note, you should consult other editors before deleting category pages; certainly, shouldn't be blanking them at your sole discretion. Yes they do, but only because i created the categories pages but, as i told you before, the AACTA Awards, who has been awarded since 1958 don't put the categories names like "Best Actress AACTA Award winners" (that are for actresses in Australian films) and i don't know why they should put the "Best Actress AACTA International Award winners". They are not like the a Oscars who put the "Best Actress Academy Award winners" categories. @Lapadite77:

Categories are created to group pages on similar subjects and place subjects in them accordingly. When a category is created, one generally has to add the name of the category to the subject's article for the subject to be added to the category (appear in the category page), not vice versa. Those categories should exist as the awards exist and there are winners of such awards. The AACTA International Award is a new award from the organization, and that's why there are only a few people within the categories. I'm not sure what you mean by: "the AACTA Awards, who has been awarded since 1958 don't put the categories names like "Best Actress AACTA Award winners" (that are for actresses in Australian films) and i don't know why they should put the "Best Actress AACTA International Award winners". They are not like the a Oscars who put the "Best Actress Academy Award winners" categories." - the award category names in Wiki are collective in nature; naturally, they don't repeat verbatim the title of the award given by the organization, if that's what you mean; It's clear "Category:Best Actress AACTA International Award winners", for instance, is referring to the AACTA International Award for Best Actress, especially since the award's article page is linked in the category page. If you mean that the awards are not independent, they are; the Oscars only have one Best Actress Award (and it's inherently international); AACTA has a Best Actress award (given to Australians/actors in Australian films) and an International Best Actress award (along with Supporting), which is given to actors in non-Australian films, i.e. international films.
